    Love these old B&W two/three-reelers, no complicated plot, no stupid stunts and most certainly no CGI, what a treat.

    MAN! I love these movies! Always have. It's still just amazing to see all of the shows and movies that I watched as a kid, and that my Dad watched, anytime I want! And on a phone? Amazing!

    John Wayne was a great actor and great man. I've seen all but 3 or 4 of his movies and he worked hard on his acting with much help from the best directors the business has ever known.

    A really good, (for the era) John Wayne movie, although he'd starve in he depended on singing for a living. Yakima Canutt, who did all the stunts in most of Wayne's movies, had only a line, but had bigger roles in many movies. His fortune was made as a stunt cooridinator. Check him out for the many major movies his name shows up in the credits.

    I know Wayne couldn't sing a note, but you'd think they'd get a singer for the song dubs that at least sounded SOMETHING like John. How embarrassing this was for Wayne must have been epic.

    • @AliceRadley

      He was lip syncing. A professional singer was used.

    • @djs9415
      @djs9415 6 лет назад

      Starr Meadows Oh,he could sing. But at that time nearly every good artist,unless well trained in singing was dubbed by other singers. Including Debbie Reynolds in Singing in the rain.
      However,if you want to hear something amazing,listen to the theme music of the High and the Mighty. He kept whistling the theme music between shots that they decided to start the theme with the whistling.
      And it was also recorded by a professional in the music records. But in the movie he walks away at the end, whistling his own style.
