My Grandfather used to cross that with his father and other males of the family from Cumbria to Annan to work in the coal mines there. Great piece of history. 👍

It's hard to imagine there was once a viaduct stood there when you are standing on the embankment.

This is just so so interesting and informative
Love your videos - the drone footage is awesome 👏👏👏👏. I’m not surprised it didn’t survive. Must have so susceptible to the wind and tides.
You’re so right. History is all around us and is what has shaped us
What a great place that is - never knew it existed
Thanks so much for sharing 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for watching, we didn't know it was there either, we have just been to Scotland for the week in our motorhome so before we went we had a look at some places with a bit of history to check out and this was one of them, glad you enjoyed the drone footage 😊. We did quite a bit of history hunting while we were there so quite a few videos to come 😁

Thank you 😊, glad you enjoyed the drone footage. We have just come back from a week's holiday in our motorhome in Scotland and did plenty of history hunting while we were there. We started at Dumfries and Galloway then headed up to Fife, a beautiful place.

Me and my family often visit here as we live about 30 minutes drive away and it looks really bizzare looking over and just seeing where a bridge once was
