Love this Fjord! Best of both worlds. This is the best boat review channel on RUclips hands down. You do a great job with both the test drives and the walkthroughs. I especially like that most of the boats you showcase are in the 30-40ft range. Some channels focus on the super yachts which is fine, but the boats you show us are obtainable, so it's more of a shoppers guide than a dream chaser video. Great job Dan. All the best.
Agreed! Obtainable, practical, fun. 25-40ft range is perfect. Now the question is which is the most bang for your buck! Nice work as always Dan. New favorite channel on RUclips.
A great weekender or day boat and the colour really pops ,the swim platform is great size especially for kids and dogs Another great review mate keep them coming thanks
Thanks for pushing the boundaries with a cool new design. I'm super keen to see what else you can do with this boat! Outboards are exciting! Hopefully see you guys at Palma Boat Show
Hu Dan, I subscribe to a number of boat review channels but, for me, yours is the best. Far more in depth than any other. I know you review new boats but I'm considering buying a Tarquin Trader 445 Signature as a live aboard. I haven't yet found a decent review of one. If you can locate one I'd love to see a review Dan style. Cheers David
Cheers David I appreciate that. Currently while i'm still a one man band I am just focusing on the new boats as every video takes me around 20hrs of work to put together so I actually don't have the time to do any used boats just yet. However my background is a new and used boat salesman of 20yrs and I know there is art least one Tarquin Trader in Sydney that was running in charter last time i saw it. One day when I have a crew and can produce more content I would be super keen to bring used boats to the channel...
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife thanks for your reply Dan. I would happily volunteer to come over and help your efforts but I'm not sure my wife would agree!! So for the time being I'm stuck on the Costa Blanca. Keep up the great work. Cheers David
I am seriously proud that German design can be so elegant and cool and functional at the same time. Fantastic job @ Hanse Yachts, I would love to know who is responsible for this.
Yes this Fjord style basically dominates the Med market for luxury day boats in places like Mallorca and France. This new 41XL is more sensible than earlier models with this roof and windscreen design. I can see it being more usable in the Southern Hemisphere because of this.
Hey Dan Great review. I would be good if you could indicate price range for each boat you review. I know these will vary a lot by options but saying how much the test spec costs landed in AU and a range for simplest to fully loaded would be really great. Thanks and keep up the great work!!
Thanks James! Yes I've started putting pricing as tested in the description of all my videos now. Sometimes they don't give it to me but when I do het it I'm now putting it in the description below
Jeanneau have asked me to come to France to test both boats but they wanted me to come for 2 days. I explained it takes me 2 days just to get there from Sydney. If they send any boats downunder i'll definately test them.
Another great review, you definitely improved the audio, you are super professional. The only thing I don’t like about the boat is the seat transforming system, it feels like anybody could hit their coccyx and get hurt but is the only detail I would change.
I'm still strugling with all the camera settings. This is my new wizz bang Sony A7Siii which i've just upgraded to. I don't actually have a cameraman or any crew I just do everything myself and pass the camera to the salesman and direct him on how to follow me so until I can work out all this WB and ISO stuff we might still have a few issues. A bit more YouTubing and i'll work it out so hopefully you stick with me
This would be a great day boat or yacht tender. If you owned a superyacht and had this as your chase boat, the 2 cabins gives you the ability to have your dayboat captain live aboard it and if you had a dayboat captain and was a couple, even better, although slightly crowded, but does open up that possibility of extra crew. Then the owner could sleep in the other cabin if needed, although that probably wouldn't happen. Never happened when I worked on yachts. We always returned to the 'mother ship' so the owner could sleep in their palatial master cabin aboard. It does give you options though to do more with the boat and it only being 41 feet makes this a better option than an Arksen for example or a Saxdor
You hit the nail on the head with operational side! I was also thinking that but forgot to mention in the video. Was just touring some big boats in Dubai last week and thinking how suitable this Fjord would be on charter to give the guests more space to themselves! Good spotting Clif
White Balance, Anthony! This is a slick boat. But a little Ikea (which makes sense). I prefer the Invictus - and that Italian flair. And it's much cheaper!!
White balance is my fault. I dont actually have a cameraman I just pass it to the salesman and get them to follow me which is why you hear me directing them during the shoot.
Beautiful boat, but for that kind of money, I'd opt for something like the Life Proof 41 full cabin aluminum hulled boat. Full private head, shower, multiple berths, twin 600's. Awesome boat.
Yes Edwin, base boat is around $1.3M and you can add another 40% to that with extras if you want too. I've left a link to Windcraft the Aussie dealers website in the video description if you need more info.
Indonesia is one of my favourite places to go surfing and boating! I'd love to be part of growing the boating industry in Indonesia - so much opportunity and beautiful places in Indo! Thanks for the sub
I think curves would not suit this boat as she is a modern angular design. lol no way this is Ikea. I'd recommend looking at the Solaris Power if you want more curves. The Fjord is the master of this modern angular design which is quite popular these days. But if this isn;t your vibe then check out the Solaris, she's curvy and beautiful too.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I would advise the Cranchi A46 over the Solaris. I've spent time on both, and the Solaris may have "curves" but it is inferior compared to the Cranchi, Jeanneau, and Fjord.

Totally agree!
Agreed, Dan is the best!
Appreciate that Brian! That's a good point re the 30 - 40ft range and I have plenty more in the pipeline.

LOL the _best_ on YT is a bloody tall call mate but I agree he's up there with any of them.
This boat is sick!
You are one of the best boat reviewers on You Tube, thank you.
Thanks mate! I appreciate that.
Super sick. Thanks for another great video

Would love it if you had more exterior drone footage. Just love watching these boats.

Great review Dan - Definitely agree about usage - would be an awesome weekender
Thanks Keith! That roof just changes the game I reckon
Interesting to hear your comparison with the new Jeanneau DB37 and DB41 which have some of the same features. i.e. when you've tested it.
Jeanneau have asked me to come to France to test both boats but they wanted me to come for 2 days. I explained it takes me 2 days just to get there from Sydney. If they send any boats downunder i'll definately test them.

Cheers Nicholas. So you have around 10+ different options with the seating so it can be personalised.
It's a nice boat. I would ask that your cameraman adjust the ISO or WB when filming in the bright sun though. Seems like an awesome boat

Very well presented.
Glad you liked it!
The size/shape of the master bed was a little disappointing, but that second birth was absolutely incredible.
What do you think they should do to improve the bed..? I love the windscreen and roof on this boat. Shes a real crossover in my opinion

Sure. Each to their own I guess.
This really nice
Love this❤
Should have the fold out balcony option like the Cranchi and it'll be a great day boat.
Yes could also look good on a Fjord
It seems like this would be a good boat for a jet drive. Has anyone else thought of this? Thoughts now?
Great video, any AU pricing on this one?

another boat , that's just wanted , wow , gee , just because the style , the light took out , for hiding , !

Nice idea but a very square blocky design internally. Made by IKEA ? Needs an aesthetic eye over it. More curves, more style

IKEA? I see more like a more functional and more affordable version of Wally.
Sotto coperta e una barca orrenda, disegnata malissimo con due cabine che sembrano due loculi mortuari
