That's why people wants jobs in kolkata..folding lodging all are cheap so more saving ..

I am from Mumbai. There are very inexpensive food joints in Mumbai as well (of course you can find many places that are very expensive as well). A similar fare to what is shown here could be had for Rs.40-45, and you can sit and eat - not stand on the road. Road-side eateries like the one shown are often charging around Rs.50 for a decent veg lunch and sometimes even with non-veg food.

@@rahuldhawanvicky all of your arguments are not right.you can't judge whole Bengali based on perception on few people.. You might have some bad experience . But the food @ cheap rate culture is inherited from cpim era. This has been continued in this era also. Current government believes in leave culture more than work. That is creating a big mess. To some extent industry part of your argument is true. But in case of lifestyle in a cheaper rate compared to others metro Kolkata is best.

@@KS-qe1hv If u have the guts admit the truth.Being poorer states like Jharkhand, chattisgarh are providing DA, according to 7th pay commission and in leave culture wb is in the rank 1.It can hurt u as a bengali.. Hurt Me too. But u can't hide the truth or escape from it. Acknowledgeing the faults and rectifing those can bring laurels to Bengal.

Visited this joint a couple of times during college days with my friends, it was amazing. Glad to see they are still doing well. Dacres Lanes is lined with gems and this just might be the crown jewel, highly recommended.
