What are your thoughts on the 2020 CRF450R?
Rocky Mountain ATV MC is this a good bike for a beginner rider?
No 450 is going to be a good beginner bike. Even a 250 can be a lot of bike for a beginner rider to feel comfortable on.
How does this bike's clutch compare to the KTM 450 sxf
Rocky Mountain ATV MC I see. I think 2020 kx 250 is the best option.
Hardus Venter a little harder pull but better modulation
I had a 1987 Yamaha YZ 125....that bike was a beast....I was 18 and fearless and that bike was incredibly fast.
Just got one of these, made it street legal, best bike I invested in

We all know the Honda's are better than what they say but I know too the Honda is not perfect. It's the way they talk towards Honda's. Rocky mountain 👍

That is a very big jump in power. A 250 might be the better option.

Is this a good bike to get coming off of a yz 250 2 stroke?
If you're asking if it's going to feel like an upgrade. Then yes for sure it's good coming off a two stroke 250.

@@andyrips834 I don't! I love four stroke. Firstly you dont need to add any two stroke oil. So you can ride to a station and fill up. Secondly 4stroke I feel is more consistent.

@@andyrips834 true! I have a ktm exc 250f sixdays. It's great riding on the trails but it's a donkey on the mx track. Looking to upgrade to a Honda 450! Can use it on both trails and mx tracks aswell as motards. I do miss the 2 stroke sounds and smell😂 I loved my dad's 99 rm 250. Still to this day the scariest bike I've ridden!
My friends 2020 crf 250 just burnt down in his house fire he is ok and so is his family but the fire started in the garage and there was a lot of bikes in there 🥺 all the bikes are just frames and motors

Not legally unless you check your state laws and then add the necessary equipment to make this bike street legal (headlight, turn signals, DOT tires, horn, ect.).

I don't understand dual exhaust tips on a single cylinder engine. Can someone explain why?

@@thibo2107 it's not stupid its how the extra exhaust fumes get out the motor . The crf450r makes more power on the bottom end compared to the other 2020 450 currently and it has alot more higher compression so all that needs to leave somewhere having 1 exhaust muffler wouldn't do the job properly so 2 is the answer and if it had 1 exhaust it wouldn't be unique and the power wouldn't be the same as the exhaust fumes wouldn't get out fast enough for the next cycle to happen inside the motor .

Honda needed to keep the CR250 going as a 2 stroke option just like Yamaha. the only thing I like about these new bikes is the suspension the 4 stroke sound is an instant turn off
Just needs a hydraulic clutch and then it would be perfect!
I actually prefer a cable to hydraulic, of take cable any day!
@Taylor Anderson because clutching is a beginner habit... cable clutch works when you need.. on the start then the rest is power shifting in motocross; im not in flag football im in motocross!

@Taylor Anderson use rekluse or hinson steels and fibers you won't get clutch fade and it holds the adjustment longer
@Taylor Anderson 🤯🤣 125's are tough on clutches, I got my pro license in the 90's my home track is southwick so I used to chew through clutches too, I feel your pain

Isn't one after market muffler expensive enough ? Why give us two that need replacing ?
I'm not getting it ...... No kick start, No carbs, EFI that is way more costly and harder to maintain, higher prices, cheaper part to replace , like junky seats, cheap handle bars,
no rotor guards, Mufflers that always are changed out, in Honda's case two mufflers to buy.
That bike and this review are for MOTOCROSS....not trail riding
Yeah you need to consider who is the target audience of this bike. EFI on a bike is a dream! If you disagree that's fine! Stick to your 2 strokes and be happy! But i don't have to tweak at all on my 450 like I used to on my 2 stroke. It's great!
Moving the battery down 28 millimeters is going to give you a better center of gravity and help you lean the bike over better? I mean I guess if you were an ant. Lol absolutely awesome bike but some of these minor details you will never be able to notice. Or I definitely won’t anyways. Like I said awesome bike though! I love dual exhausts. They look tough.
But would you buy a Yamaha or this one?????

And they won't because they don't last long . I had a ktm with the hydraulic clutch and I had to replace my clutch plates about every 80 hours from regular riding and I also had to change the fluid alot which is just extra work for no reason so for honda to stay with the orginal cable it's better to change and service when they break compared to a hydraulic clutch
@@mtbridingog9083 that's crazy. I have over 100 hours on my ktm hydraulic clutch and I haven't had any problems with it
cable clutch is better, you get better feel, i'll take the clutch feel of my 2018 crf450r over the clutch feel of my 2017 ktm450sx any day of the week, and yeah my ktm blows thru clutchs like nobody's business, its because of the shitty belleville spring setup that ktm uses
Yeah that's where the KTM bout got me over the honda. But I'm backbone ride red and got the 450R
that clutch tho......pffffft come on honda get it sorted
100% would recommend a Rekluse Torque drive manual clutch! It made the clutch pull so nice with better modulation and more of a smoothed roll on feel!
They should make a 2021 crf450r electric edition

you mean the guys that can't use a computer, i just fired 4 guys that were 25 year veterans of the company were i just got hired to run, they refused to learn the computers, and were the laziest shits i'd ever seen, so let them laugh but the joke is on them

it's called get a job, most guys/girls riding make enough money to pay for our hobby, i make whata new bike costs in just under a month, and i got a shitty job so stop spending your money on partying and strippers you should be fine

I make 10 bucks an hour as a motorcycle technician and I’m make payments on a 2019 kx450 just have to put your money in the right places

I think with the technology they're dumping into the bikes nowadays it isn't too crazy bad.. you have three different modes and three different levels of traction control with fuel injection and electric start? This ain't your carbureted 2008 crf.. one you ride/race a EFI dirtbike you start not wanting to go back

@@bleachinuri I could buy one to become are lazier rider, sure. But I loved the sport when it was all 2 strokes. And yes, I could sell three or four bikes in the garage and get a new one, but it's not going to happen! Having to spend $8k on a dirt bike (that's worth half that in two years) is killing the sport.
