33:15 I played this back at least 3 times to laugh like it was the first time hearing it… I really did not know 88 was a clown like this, until watching you. Yea, that backside coverage choice 1:1 with Chase is head scratching I’m glad we won with all this nonsense going on. And btw man, KEEP THE CONTENT COMING!!! This isn’t background noise for me, I’m all ears and eyes on what you’re making
Dude got bodied by a 5’8 nickel corner and cried for a flag every time. If I was a ref I wouldn’t give him a flag either you’re 6’3 230 use it! His complaining was annoying all game dudes a bum and has been his whole career.
Stephens is not a liability, dunno why you guys want a guy to move to S? Obviously BSteve is in tight coverage he's just not getting his head around. It seems like it's the technique he's using this year vs last year. It is a coaching thing.
@@_illtal it is not a coaching thing 114/119 PFF Ranking Brandon Stephens third-most yardage allowed among CBs 4th most catches of any CB this year and is tied for tha most targeted - 480 coverage snaps - 60 targets - 40 catches allowed - 555 yards allowed - 3 TDs allowed - 66.7% completion against - 112.8 passer rating against He is a liability
@Eladdrin are we really gonna quote PFF as an authority? It is well known that they are very flawed. No one knows exactly what is being called. This is not Madden NFL football simulation. In previous years he had this same problem with not locating balls. Dennard corrected this last year. Suddenly he's forgotten how to do that? Not likely. He's coached to run trail technique with his ass inside. Literally he cannot see anything thrown short that would require him to stop and turn all the way around to see the ball. Stop fades are particularly abusable. Anything like an in breaking would cause him to have to open up 270 degrees to stay with. The real problem is that teams know this, and all they do is run routes to exploit the type of coverages that leaves him backside with no help. It's very easy to see if you watch the games and not the stats. If you do watch and this is still your opinion then that's fine. I guess you don't know what you don't know. Go watch some games and see how often these Ravens end up in the same coverage call whenever there's motion or any type of trips on the field with a backside x only.... Tell me this is not coaching because it is. And it's bizarre that fans that watch football can have such a negative opinion when many of these guys played significant time last year. It's ALL IMPROPER COACHING. There are even examples of coverages get mixed in this video. That's coaching sir.
@@_illtal I aint reading all that buddy lol. Youre the only Ravens fan that doesnt think Stephens is a problem. Disregard the data all you want. Ignorant Coaching is also an issue but his problems are on him specifically
I did notice during the bengals game, by watching a video elsewhere, that in the flats or in the middle area we didn’t react to the pass until the ball was caught. It seemed like they were caught up with keeping their eyes on burrow and then getting to the pass after it was thrown, as opposed to seeing the open man and sticking by them to prevent the throw from ever happening. IMO, that’s why they got so many 2nd and 3rd down successes. Not sure if you’ve already covered that or not but it’s what i noticed/ learned.
28:45 The S is defending grass. That happens way too often on the team in general (common with ILB drops). Players don't have their head on a swivel to find the receiver threatening their zone, and often I get the impression the DB's don't understand route combinations to know where the threat might come from.
Hope so but I have my doubts. Has dropped like 3 free interceptions already and hasn't had one single big impact play that I can remember in 10 weeks...
@@TheButcher-w7z Nate has barely had an opportunity to make big plays because QBs have learned not to throw to him. That is a good thing, not a bad thing
@@CL-vw5bb Ok buddy so he hasn't dropped 3 or 4 interceptions that were literally thrown right at him? Season high of 4 tackles? 1 tackle in the last 2 games. Zero impact plays this season and were in week 11. But I'm sure it's just because the opposing quarterbacks are too terrified to throw at him like you said 🤣
@TheButcher-w7z "Buddy" You gonna call me a whippersnapper next? Buster maybe? You fundamentally misunderstand what cornerbacks do, Bo Nix didn't even throw to Wiggin's side of the field. Dropped INTs are one thing but a good CB shuts down passes before they happen, not after, that's why Brandon Stephens is giving up embarrassing yards every game
@@CL-vw5bb The irony of you telling me I'm fundamentally misunderstanding what corners do when tackling is the most basic fundamental for any defensive player is not lost on me. Love your content. It would be cool to see you do a video on the differences in the defense between this year and last year. Like a compare and contrast of how we ran plays last year a this year
Watching the tape I see no! Pressure on WRs. The Van noy play explains the problem w/ the defense. You see too much open field, too many gaps, you see the defense not on a string.
I agree, it’s coaching the small details that has this defense playing awful. It’s just way to many people covering grass at this level. I see no one being help accountable which says a lot about the leadership on that side of the ball.

We literally never try to impact the timing of the offense at the beginning of the route. It kills me. Then we give ten million quick underneath passes.
25:30 this the most egregious thing in the whole tape and it’s not even on Wiggins. Coach, idk if it’s coaching, the scheme, players just getting things wrong one at a time, or a combination, but it’s stuff like this that could/ probably will cost us in the playoffs.
I just don't get it, like I said, unless Humphrey was injured at that time. But I did not hear anything about that. Eddie Jackson on Chase is just not a realistic choice.
Zac Orr might want to stop running those Cover 3 and Tampa 2 Schemes for a second and Atleast mix it up a bit with man to man on the outside move B Stephens and let Wiggins play the outside full time he has the skill set to better match up with the other teams best WR !!! He’s balling out with the snaps that we are giving him now imagine if he had more ??? Play a two high safety nickel with the slot and outside WRs man to man let Hamilton and Roquan play the middle of the field to read an react to what the defense is doing!!! Run some stunts with the D line and that should Atleast slow down an stop those huge chunk plays that teams have be hitting on us down the field!!!!
Harbaugh said today BSteve won’t play safety. I’m just confused man; it’s so crazy how he’s not playing safety. Clearly has safety skill set. Plus we need Marcus Williams OUT, dude had a fkn healthy DNP this season and he’s still starting. QBs have a 158.3 rating targeting Stephens. I’ll rather have Tre White on the field than Marcus honestly. Have him guard the WR3
There is an uptick in exaggerated reactions to calls/no calls. I started seeing it a lot in baseball over the past couple of years with the new ability to challenge calls on the field. Players popping up after being called out, gesturing at their dugout to challenge the call whether they're safe or not is just bad for the aesthetic of the game. Then in football, you've got guys pulling an imaginary flag out their belts after the slightest bit of contact. It's really annoying.
I want you content all the time even if I don't need to watch It. I always try to do it like your videos. I was wondering, could you do a good deep dive on marcus williams. I still believe that defense is gonna flip a switch really soon . And I don't think that Marcus Williams deserves. All does hate that he's getting it's just the thought
Coach im disgusted we drafted him over the Cb in Washington from Michigan sarinstal. Something like that. The kids is a str8 beast as a rookie. I know we had the inside track on the kid he went to Michigan. Only reason we didn't draft him over Wiggins is his height. Guys been a menace while career now doing it in DC.
