My Hades showed up yesterday, and I am in love.
I am the target market for this IEM, and I want more IEMs willing to take gambles on bass heads.
Up against the tuning of other IEMs, when you first pop them in, the initial thought is a little what-the-fu**... But you've gotta let them soak for a little bit. Forget all of your other IEMs and get that A/B comparison out of your head. Give your ears/brain a little time to reset your baseline (no pun intended), and eventually something magic happens...
Speaker systems are built to preference. Different systems present music differently, and people like what they like. My systems always have the bass cranked up because that's what I like. I primarily use an iFi HipDac and I abuse the X-Bass button. I make audiophiles cry. I drink their tears.
The Hades are warm bassy hugs, and I love them. I have not heard 100's of IEMs in this hobby, but probably a solid 30ish. The Hades is distinctly unique and earns a dedicated spot in a collection amongst a pile of nit-picking subtle differences.
BASSHEADS EVERYWHERE, SUPPORT THE HADES SO QKZ KNOWS THERE'S A MARKET HERE! THE GAMBLE WAS WORTH IT! And keep it up, HBB!

This is why I'm always gonna be a HBB fan. Straightforward and to the point. Made an IEM for a specific group of people and outright says "THIS IS NOT AN ALL-ROUNDER."

@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviewsCheck out Jinjer - Vortex or As I Boil Ice. Very Bass Guitar centric. Jinjer's Bassist is one of the Premiere bassists of this generation in Metal and his tone is so gorgeous. Their drummer is also one of the best up and coming Drummers and they are both showcased in these two songs. I think you'll enjoy them simply because of their musicianship. And Tatiana their singer has gorgeous voice as well as one of the best Harsh vocalists and you can actually tell what she's saying when she does and it's surprising for anyone to have that combination of a very talented traditional singing voice (it's so warm but still has clarity and cut) and be a top tier harsh vocalist (annunciation is probably the very best in this realm). Check em out and tell me what you think.

I enjoy QKZ x HBB so much, even I'm not a basshead, I'm more a neutralhead oriented audiophile. But BL-03 and your QKZ collab are so enjoyable when I listen to 70s prog and rock! I'll keep an eye on this new collab. Maybe my next BH pick.

HAIDES (Hades) was the king of the underworld and god of the dead. He presided over funeral rites and defended the right of the dead to due burial. Haides was also the god of the hidden wealth of the earth, from the fertile soil with nourished the seed-grain, to the mined wealth of gold, silver and other metals. The origin of Hades' name is uncertain but has generally been seen as meaning "the unseen one".

It's cool that there's a set that meant for a specific group of ppl. A niche within a niche. I'm not a basshead but chifi had come to a point where the tuning are all so similar for a lot of sets. Good to see that HBB managed to convince QKZ to do something different

Some people doesn’t even want to recognize what they don’t like (eg. skullcandy crusher). But still they are widely popular among general consumers not critical listeners. Skullcandy crusher does one job (crush your skull) & does it a way no other can't do. That's why it's so popular. I wish hades does the same thing, the bass and the bass. We don't listen edm to hear all the details😂, we listen to have fun. With non existing low end edm are brr. I have oh10 and crusher. After using crusher, i feel like my oh10 has no bass at all. I am waiting to try the hades as it promises to deliver the bass❤

So… just got the Hades in. My favorite collab of yours so far. Listening to various 90’s rap and a sprinkling in of some Metallica. I’ve got the second gen turtles. The khan, the qkz x hbb and these are the most comfy of that bunch and the punch is the reals ! I would’ve really liked the khan but the nozzle led to discomfort and the turtles will not stay in my ears. Anyways have a great day and as always enjoy your fam!

Bass is a major part of the soul of music. You're right Beats came along and were so popular saleswise they blew everything out the water. But Audiophiles considered Beats badly tuned and incorrect in their replay. They were right to a degree but a lot was based on downright snobbery. So the anti bass mob started to go in the Harman direction. How boring ! There is a place for all types of tunings in this hobby with no particular tuning that suits everyone. I am of Jamaican parentage. We love bass. Slow decays with loads of weight. I will be buying the Hades ! Amen brother 🙏🏿

Another fun Bassy 1 is the KZ Castor Bass Edition, along with the QKZ HBB I use these 2 sets the most outdoors. Hopefully this makes it a trifecta of fun Bassy sets & I can look at other styles & tuning.

So having a daily driver and a few niche items is important imo. I grew up with 8 fosgate 12s in my explorer. Lots of pinch amps etc.. as I grew up I moved to adding component sets to clean things up then reducing subs etc.. but I still enjoy the ooomph as much as I enjoy yanni or classical. I want something to do the job for each genre.

Looks like I'll try this out after all. Hopefully it's not muddy.

Very interesting! Looking forward for the launch. Bassy sets might be the gateway for many, this looks like its back to the basics. And youre right, crinacles hangout and fatfreq is in the same building!

Was considering these, and might still depending on how long the Hades stay sold out. KBears a fun set? Examples of artists it does well with?

@@Splooie010sorry just saw this. Honestly it does my whole library fine, no it's not the most resolving or detailed but when I'm bored of balanced items liked ew200 or ea500lm, rosefinch are a fun little vacation. Genre wise I'll just list some artists: Fleetwood Mac, Eminem, run the jewels, three days grace, sublime, lacuna coil, Silverstein, all that remains- I have very varied tastes. I recently started using eq with them +3db 250hz low shelf and +2 4khz and 8khz.

@@Splooie010sorry thought I replied but guess it didn't send. Kbear rosefinch is very fun. It's about 90% of the bass of the Hades but much more cleaner mids and treble. I eq'd them +3 DB at 250hz low shelf filter and +2db at 4k and 8k. They have a hard time with complicated songs like ones from Evans blue, I'd turn to a more balanced set for those but for hip hop like big boi and run the jewels it's fantastic

At 6:40, when he said giant hump, it means one of the DDs will be dedicated to the bass range from 20hz - 200hz right?
