She would never interfere, she would call and visit host on holidays but that’s about it meanwhile there are moms like these. The fact that this is a 80s movie four decades later and there are still moms like these is very upsetting🤦🏽♀️
Darcy's mother is so domineering, likely because she's bitter over her husband having abandoned her and Darcy. Part of her arc is realising that Darcy needs a mother, not a friend.
They certainly saved their one F Bomb for the best time. If you swear too frequently, then it loses its shock value. However, allowing one to slip in makes you realise that things have gotten serious.
I know that this was a movie, but I had a Momma almost like that, and if I knew, then what I know now, I would've told my Momma to kick rocks about a lot of things and people.
