My family makes a version of the fruit kabobs. We usually get a variety of fruit usually revolving around red, white, and blue put them on the skewer and top it off with a watermelon or even sometimes pineapple star using a cookie cutter. We have even made the stars out of apple before so they are white but you have to dip them in sprite first so they don't turn brown.
