Sorry for living under a rock, but I recognize the music at 1:02, but I can't remember what it's from or the name of it. It makes me think of Yoshi's Island though...
Ugh it's bugging me too. I know it's Koopa Beach but it very distinctly sounds like some famous song. You're thinking of a melancholy song (possibly about dreaming??) with a female vocalist that sounds like it could be Sinatra era, right?
If you play the game frame per frame you can do precision jump easily, but it doesn't mean you don't have to know some tricks, Sonic 1 2 and 3 TAS requiered some knowledge to do a speed run, but that's besides the point, some people don't know what TAS mean and I gave an example.
Would this be too difficult for a mario expert to reliably pull off on an actual console (no emulator no save states)? I guess I'm asking, is it something left too much to chance, or can a human get it down well enough to rely on it without dying a million times failing due to chance.
+Holy Nightmare If you hit a wall at _just_ the right speed, in _just_ the right place, Mario will enter the wall for _1_ frame, during which you can jump off the wall. This is pretty hard to do in real time (but possible with lots of practice), but in a TAS you have infinite time to line everything and get it to work.
Yeah, but you have to do it at a certain perfect frame. Between two squares that form a wall there's a little space in which Mario can stand and jump from there, but if you're not using TAS you can be looking for that certain frame for hours and not even get close to it. Basically, it's almost impossible to wall-jump in Super Mario World unless you're using TAS.
Pokeman McCarty Ah, yes, I see. I haven't play that game but I watched a cousin playing it like two years ago. No wonder I couldn't identify it. Thank you~
A lot of people who do TAS can exploit these glitches real time, such as the wall jumps. it's just not as impressive looking cause it's not pixel perfect.
ive seen him get"hit"this entire palythrough. and i dunno if anyone noticed but he legit jumped from midair in a couple of the levels. no wall jump. just legit jumped from midair or on top of a chomper. so the moral? this guy may have possibly been using cheats. dont care how much he claims frame abuse or any bs like that.
You actually use a Tool, even if it is just assist you, u still "use" a tool to assist your own playing. You can consider it as "using" aswell, it´s even the correct grammer if you want it so.
I also noticed that at 0:34 he jumped ON it, not over. You can clearly see that this is un-legit, or the effect of loosing the mushroom was still there, and we couldn't see it, but yes, it's quite visible.
hell no playing games with the use of TAS helps you cheat and not die. Why else would they touch an enemy and not die. Or not care to get the mushrooms to get big.
Peace among all of you, Mercy and Bless of God. :)
TAS has the magic of making everything seem like a pushover
but tool assisted can slow down thigs therefore making it where your reactions arent as rushy
Sorry for living under a rock, but I recognize the music at 1:02, but I can't remember what it's from or the name of it. It makes me think of Yoshi's Island though...
It's actually from the original Super Mario Kart. The song plays at the Koopa Beach course..
I used wall jumps as an example cause they're the easiest technique to do non-TAS in comparison.
Where have I heard the music in Frozen Road before?
what is the music for the first level i've heard it before but i don't remember what it is
Ugh it's bugging me too. I know it's Koopa Beach but it very distinctly sounds like some famous song. You're thinking of a melancholy song (possibly about dreaming??) with a female vocalist that sounds like it could be Sinatra era, right?
LOL "Under the Sea"... That's what you were actually doing xD
Of course it is, a remix of the theme! :D
What's with the epic cutoff at 3:42? :o
If you play the game frame per frame you can do precision jump easily, but it doesn't mean you don't have to know some tricks, Sonic 1 2 and 3 TAS requiered some knowledge to do a speed run, but that's besides the point, some people don't know what TAS mean and I gave an example.
i wonder what playing that underwater level is really like...
Would this be too difficult for a mario expert to reliably pull off on an actual console (no emulator no save states)? I guess I'm asking, is it something left too much to chance, or can a human get it down well enough to rely on it without dying a million times failing due to chance.
@Kaizoman666 Ooh okay. Where was this used in the vanilla?
What's the music from Bowser's Castle?
how the hell do you walljump
Jump on the exact frame you touch the side of a block.
most epic explanation ever
how are you doing that wall jump?????
+Holy Nightmare If you hit a wall at _just_ the right speed, in _just_ the right place, Mario will enter the wall for _1_ frame, during which you can jump off the wall. 2:35 is swimming under there a glitch?
what is the song of level 4 in this video?
That's a lovely underwater level. Shame we won't actually be playing it.
I wanna see the blooper reels on these. I wanna see someone put you in a small room with a Thwomp and see you actually get flattened for once. X3
Is it even possible to wall jump in super mario world..?
Yeah, but you have to do it at a certain perfect frame. but extends the time on ur level but you can make it look like its in normal speed
@Kaizoman666 same for 6:08 with ghost ? ;)
INvisable Bowser? How the hell is that even FAIR?
Which song is the one that plays at 5:35?
I don't know where did I heard it before.
I think it's from the castles in nsmb.
Pokeman McCarty Ah, yes, I see. I haven't play that game but I watched a cousin playing it like two years ago. No wonder I couldn't identify it. Thank you~
what is the music in the water level 2.29
it looks easier because it's TASd as opposed to people who played Kaizo didn't TAS, therefore Kaizo looks harder.
and also is he saying hes never flew through the air backwards for 10 min on mario. i used to do that all the time
Was 3:38 a splice, or did he actually clip through the blocks and they pushed him forward?
Yeah, the blocks warp to the side of you end up "inside" them. It also causes that weird column of blocks to the right of the goal.
This is the closest thing to it being like the original kaizo.
A lot of people who do TAS can exploit these glitches real time, such as the wall jumps. it's just not as impressive looking cause it's not pixel perfect.
can this be done on the snes original game?
I was to see this played with only using save/load states instead of frame by frame inputs.
can someone tell me the music in the under the surface level? i know ive heard it before
tool assisted is basically automating it i think
@PikBube3 To insert patches use Xkas GUI.
Damn did you record this with a potato?
4:00 music?
94 stars? Y U NO 100!? I wanted to see if the bonus level was changed also
Oh okay. Sorry about the confusion.
I kinda think the wall-jump glitch is way too op...
Don't worry, once you get around to TASing my hack, i don't believe that there is any room for walljumping :P
TAS = Tool assisted Speedrun, my friend. All explained.
TAS = You can play frame by frame, so basically this dood can play the game a hell lot easier than if it was at a real speed and without tools.
Crazy ninja Mario skills!
ive seen him get"hit"this entire palythrough. and i dunno if anyone noticed but he legit jumped from midair in a couple of the levels. no wall jump. just legit jumped from midair or on top of a chomper. so the moral? this guy may have possibly been using cheats. dont care how much he claims frame abuse or any bs like that.
2:31 YOU CHEEEEAAAAAAT, MISTER JONES!
6:06, pretty sure he touched that flame.. I don't know if anyone else saw it..
you sir are a mario god
what are you playing on
No don't tell everyone about that patch. That ruins all the fun.
I knew as soon as I heard. Love Super Mario Kart!
You actually use a Tool, even if it is just assist you, u still "use" a tool to assist your own playing. You can consider it as "using" aswell, it´s even the correct grammer if you want it so.
You know, aside from the wall jumping (Which i can;t do) this really doesn't seem harder than Kaizo in any way, It seems easier.
Why'd he lose his acount?
this is madness
That waterlevel... That's cheating, TAS isn't.
I also noticed that at 0:34 he jumped ON it, not over. You can clearly see that this is un-legit, or the effect of loosing the mushroom was still there, and we couldn't see it, but yes, it's quite visible.

Bowser invisible
@Kaizoman666 Ooh right, thanks. :D
It's Koopa Beach from Mario Kart
Anyone know the music for under the surface

Yes, but you need really good timing.
Chuck Norris can do this without tools.
@Kaizoman666 Oh okay, thanks. :)
I don't know what you mean by screen warp though. :P
Looks like I found a new super hero contests kaizoman666

esse cara ta usando hack so pode q q isso
para mi peor esta el kaizo tas, porque este juego es sencillo para mi
Meh, to lazy to like video :P payback
it take me 2 hours to beat this without save states!!!
A TAS is basically infinite savestates (but even better -- you get rewinds, and then can play it back without showing the failed attempts).
doido de maissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
0:33 Bullshit.
fucking easy
