I have this chair love it. But now looking for a lightweight smaller chair for short restaurant, shopping trips etc. I feel too big and awkward in restaurants stores etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

You can look at this link which is to all of our folding lightweight chairs. Once you take a look at the units available, give us a call and we can ask some questions that will help us help you narrow down the best unit for you and your needs. I myself (Adam) am paralyzed in a manual wheelchair and can understand what you are saying when you say you feel awkward in tight places. I feel that way in my chair as well...lol. Give me a call at 800-677-6293 and lets talk about what is going to work for you!

Hi Marc, I have a question. I got one of these m3's just about a week ago, and noticed something weird about the electric tilt. When I tilt it all the way forward, to be in the normal position, after about 10 seconds of holding the button the recline starts to go back as well (or so it feels) and I end up stuck in "turtle" mode. It takes a lot of fidgeting to get it off. It seems like the tilt function is sending out an error that it's too far back... when it's completely down. Any thoughts? Thanks!

It could be one of a few things. Some units have a forward tilt function too. When tilting back to a normal position, the seat will stop in a normal seating position. If you keep holding the forward tilt button down, the chair might continue to go forward after a few seconds delay. This is to make it easier on the user to exit the chair and it sometimes will move the back as well. You can just tilt the chair back and it should stop at the normal seating position again. The other thing it could be is if you are controlling the tilt through the joystick, some permobils have a programmable function that looks a lot like tilt. If your screen says m3 at the bottom then you are using the programmable function. Keep cycling through the functions until you get to tilt which has the whole chair in yellow and there is an arrow pointing forward and back.

I have a new M3 and it will not go under a standard table! It nearly makes it useless for me, do you have any tips?

The only thing I can think of is it may not be down in the lowest seat elevation. Other than that, you may not be able to lower the seat any further

What is the difference between th M3 Version 2 and the M3 Version 1 ?

the difference is mostly cosmetics. The V1 could have difference electronics where the V2 has the newer electronics. Hope this helps!
