Oddly I distinctly remember the smell of my lunch box. Not a bad smell- just the thermos full of soup and a balogna and cheese on white.
Mine smelled like cherries, because I had summer school once, and my mom packed cherries in there every time. I'm honestly surprised that the school playground wasn't covered in cherry trees thanks to me.

Calculators weren’t required for math class until you were in high school calculus. In fact, we were told we couldn’t use them because we wouldn’t have a calculator with us at all times. 😂
That sounds like my Algebra 1&2 teacher. He was definitely old school! We had them mainly in geometry and calculus, thanks for the comment

I do remember those great times back in the 1980's. Yea. no cell phones or any ipads. hell. there was not even a dial cell phone. pretty funny that you would menttion the scratch, and sni! stickers, and the sented markbers. rather awesomethings that we had. well, we did have a grose kind of glue and it was actually called paste. it smelled very weird like a glue or something like that. well it was thick, and it was paste. I don't know if you remember that, but yea. we had paste still different art projects. great times. I think that the paste was still around in the 1990's like the decade before. well, I think they got rid of it. I daven't heard about it lately. I am pretty sure that it is gone.
Paste would have been a great item for the list! I can smell it in my mind right now.

@@jackilynpyzocha662 yes that is true lol the trapper keepers the scented markers the scented stickers, the paste it like a little jar and I had paste in. It had a weird smell, and also the really huge crayons. They were really thick and of course, the metal lunchboxes. I had a Garfield in OD one. metallic lunchbox
