We had this big, huge portable TV that weighed too much and was much larger than those portable tvs. I had derivatives of the Sony Walkman, I went through a few of them and used to listen to them in class at my Junior High.

I didn't have any of these products in the 80s but my parents would get me cheap knock offs.

I didn’t have the Sony Walkman but I did have something similar made by Aiwa. it was only a little bigger than a cassette tape holder. It was really nice and small and the sound was also really nice.

You could pry my walkman from my cold dead hands.
Handy to hide in hurricane shelter with. To this day when i hear it on Muzak, I can't forget the one cassette I had with me to listen to over and over.. .

I had original blue, 2-headset jack Sony Walkman in 1979. It had a mute (lower the volume orange button. Also it had individual slider volume controls. They never released these features in future models.

Swatch watches are still sold today. They were a response to the quartz crisis/evolution in the late 70's. The Swiss watch industry was unprepared when Japanese quartz watches took over the market with more accurate and affordable products. They created The Swatch Group to help Swiss watchmakers and offer affordable options.

Still have the keyboard still can play it😂, actually still have the blue walk man , in the early 2000s I had a 88 Mercedes Benz with that stupid car phone , it never worked but once in a while I would act like I was using it 😂! Wish I still had that Benz it was great ! Unfortunately it cost the same as the 2000s to fix !!

The Walkman decreased in popularity because everywhere people needed to use it, it was against the rules
