He’s indigenous Australian and is singing in the language of his peoples. There are about 500 different aboriginal peoples groups , each with their own language. So you’d have to ask him if you wanted to learn what he’s singing👍
This song is amazing! Loving their style and energy :). Keep it coming. Also love their song Rapirri live too. Glad you guys were unearthed and getting exposure ☺️
I saw them as a support act for midnight oil, they’re brilliant! They sound even better hearing them live. They have great stage presence (especially the singer)
So I know he’s singing in Tonglu right but I could not for the life of me find out what wanhaka means. Is it a place or a thing or a name or... thanks I’m advance
Love these boys. Would love to see more aboriginal talent on triple j!
There’s literally crap loads atm
Forget the race stuff - culturally (Aussie culture as it feels for most of us) and musically this is awesome!
So good. Stoked that the boys got to go on Triple J live. Killed it.
These guys killed it, the track is even better live recorded!
I’m in love with Australias rock scene
Watched this at least 50 times, I wish I knew whatever language hes singing cuz this is gold.

In traditional Yolgnu wanhaka means “where” but in more modern vernacular it means “what’s up”
My boyfriend, by the way
