- Marjorie Taylor Greene attempted to stoke violence against Democrats over the weekend with multiple deranged and vile comments about the Democratic Party. Late Sunday, she said that we are in the battle between "good and evil," and then she specifically said that the Democrats are "evil." She wants someone to attack Democrats, there is little doubt about that. But people on social media have had enough, and they are now calling for her resignation. So if she names individual people, e.g. Joe Biden, AOC, whoever, that would be defamation. "The Democrats" are not individuals.
There can however be states in between those two groups, a limited, specific number of people.
So if MTG would say that about e.g. SCOTUS, it could be defamation, but in the end it's a matter of judges to decide in such cases.
