- Beyond good and evil 2 has been development hell for over a decade, but I, being the fan that I am, haven't forgotten about it! For the first time in ages there appears to be hope that a sequel might actually surface.
In this video I discuss the NX rumours of beyond good and evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers, and give my thoughts.

This is honestly my favorite console game. I actually had so much trouble finding a copy for the PC that, when I managed to get my dad to let me burrow it, I ended up giving it back because I loved the console experience so much. I actually still have both the game and my PS2 that I had played it through on. I remember when I saw the trailer for the first time, it's absolutely amazing and I want this to happen so badly. This is one of the best games I have ever had the luck of being able to play. And if they do release it on a new next gen console, I will gladly buy the game and console even if this is the only game I play on it.
Every time I find myself on RUclips looked up gameplay or strategies for other games I've played, I always come back to watching Beyond Good and Evil related videos.
Its such an amazing game, and until I hear the sequel has been officially cancelled I'm going to maintain hope. Thanks for stopping by.

This is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played and its such a shame that it has fallen into the situation that it has, I've been waiting for the release of the sequel since its release in 2003. I totally agree to everything you`ve said, the game is amazing.

I'm still in love with this game. I went through it 4 times and still enjoyed it. Just the humour and atmosphere was amazing.
It's a stunning achievement, and still holds up strong today.
My all time favorite game. The most catching story ever. It never let me go, I even start it and play it after 10 great years. And the story is still being able to bring me to tears.

Yeah. I'm always checking up for updates but still nothing to be sure about. I just cannot give up the hope that it will get the sequel one time or another.

I've played through this game multiple times. I remember when this game came in the Bgamer magazine here in portugal. I didn't know what it was, but i tried it. Didn't regret it. Loved This game to death. Played through this game so many times. Not only it has fantastic replay value, and i truly think that it would need a sequel.

In a fit of nostalgia I'm making my friend play this beautiful game that was my childhood, and so I decided to check if RUclips had anything interesting about BG&E and unexpectedly found this recent video. In honesty, I was one of those people who weren't happy with that bit of WIP gameplay from BG&E 2 and the teaser trailer because it looked too much like Earth and was so far removed from the magic of Hyllis. However, I've decided to wait until more is revealed and/or the game is released to pass judgment... still waiting...

BG&E is my all-time favourite game I was so lucky to stumble across on a gas-station in 2004 and get it for an alarmingly cheap price. What I read at the time was that the poor sales was due to the remake of Prince of Persia which was released at the same time and poor publicity to BG&E. Everything about the game is praise-worthy and it's such a shame to see all this conflict surrounding the original game and the still-in-development sequel. I really hope they'll release it in the nearest future, but I've been waiting since -07, so you never know :-/

I remember E3 2015, when all these anticipated games like the FFVII remake, Shenmue 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, etc. were announced, and Ubisoft literally gave us three Tom Clancy games and didn't say a word about Beyond Good and Evil. I was pissed. But it was clear that the winners of that conference were the ones that gave fans the niche titles they wanted. Hopefully they'll learn from that.
+Games As Literature exactly. There's a lot to be said about nostalgia, and Ubisoft are in a good financial position now; but I'm going to try and not get my hopes up... I've been burned to many times before.
I finished this game more times that I should or enybody should.Its the first game that I ever played,and it was the best intruduction that I could get to the Gaming world.Its my all time favorite game,and from my 1000+ games that i played over my life, I still come back to that game, to get another photo of a rare animal, or do the last looter sequence.It had more replayability then any game that I ever played,And when I get depressed or sad,I instently fire this game up .The cult following,and myself included, are all waiting so pathiently for the sequel and read all the rumors, Because we can't find a game like this now.This game is a masterpice for me, and I will never forget that game till the end of time.

I found this game at the back of the cabinet holding all my ps2 games when I was 6, it's now one of my most favourite video games. It truly makes me sad to be on a cliffhanger for over 10 years now ._.

Just one thing - you mentioned that the leaked footage is a work-in-progress, but Michel (I believe) has clarified that this was a gameplay experiment, so it may not even make it into the final game in any way.

I played it 3 times and loved every minute of it and no there's nothing wrong with me.
This is my favourite ever game for years, got it on PS2 but you can buy it and download it on the xbox. Such an amazing game, really worth the play. So interesting and different, and you get so attached to the characters! ... Cant believe it didn't sell well!
Played it enough in and out for any questions on it! haha. Been waiting for the 2nd to be developed for years though, always trying to catch up on any new news for it!

I have completed this game around 10 or 11 years ago. It is definitely 10/10 for me. It is a masterpiece. Very interesting story, gameplay, puzzles, side quests, everything is just so well done. But in my opinion, from the neutral point of view beyond good&evil 2 is not going to be the same in terms of gameplay and immersive storyline. Just my opinion. Waiting more than 10 years for a sequel and then playing it rarely amazes you. )
Hopefully more people will play it seeing as it is free for Xbox 360 people with gold for now anyway
Now that they showed the trailer, I'm happy with that, but I'm not sure about Ubisoft now... they have been doing a lot of "serious" open world collect-a-tons and a lot of "serious" military games for so long time that I'm not sure if they are still able to make a good Beyond Good & Evil game.
They have proveed to being able to make good 2D games, but a 3D zelda-like action adventure It's something different.
When BG&E was released they already had some experience with Rayman 2, Tunic Trouble and Rayman 3 that were half platformers and half action adventure, but now the most recent Ubisoft game close to that that I remember is Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands. It wasn't very good and it's not recent.
