We also have a separat video just going through all the preset patterns of the Digitone II without commentary. This should give you a pretty good idea of it's sonic capabilities: ruclips.net/video/wCulqJuwE04/видео.html
Maaaaan, I just ordered mine. The old one is so good I had to be one of the first with this one. It still needs assignable ADSR, Multiple sends per LFO, and expression sequencing(aftertouch and mod wheel recording). Still bought it.
@@tezeta3725 To me it's also the pitch envelope that feels better. On the Rytm I never got a pitch envelope that felt exactly how I imagined the kick drum to be.
Would be so much better if there was a way of having more than just one stereo out! Maybe it could be possible with some kind of adat/ART out? Then a separate box to convert it to to 1/4 jacks?!
Yeah, it really is a shame considering you have so many channels and voices. It would be cool if elektron made an expander box that worked with all the digi units and gave you more IO and some mixing capabilities.
tbh I wish they would make it an easier workflow... like adding something like groups to display more than one track's sequencer data + work with it. Like ... how can you make a drum pattern when you always switch between 4 tracks for a rythm - it think that's the main flaw
Sound & Trig/Parameter locks are why & what to lock into for all Elektrons imo? It's another way of wavesequencing but based around xoxbox methodology. My 2nd synth was a Wavestation EX in the 90's & I learnt to create my own wavesequences & wavetables etc... It's still of the more complex synths around to learn,..
@@debu206 yeah, good luck using stuff like ... everything for them to manipulate later ... no ctrl-all etc. pp. it's a pain that could be avoided by linking a few tracks and display them on one track.
@@TimesOfTheSines.official yeah but imagine another layer on top where you could say "show me track 1, 4 and 6" and then we have a limited ctl+all on them instantly with the knobs and we wouldn't have to press every sound lock to manipulate it. And on top we have the actual tracks to manipulate only that track. We have plenty of tracks now...

Thanks for the DN2 videos! I have the Digitone Keys and I love it, but the sound palette has been vastly expanded on the 2. Cool machine.

Felix you're the man. Love your jams.
Thanks a lot. Now I want one.
The kick synth is better than the rytm with that transient selection
Yes, I had the same impression
You can use samples to add any transient you want to the kicks on the rytm though

Everything is inside out
🔥🔥🔥
Elektron is the leader of the industry everyone playing catchup and they are are like ha check this boom 💥
someday maybe they will make the boxes bigger lol
OG digitone only has 4 tracks instead of 16, but with p-locks you can use many diff sounds on each track

Sounds like Aphex twin.
Can you record audio or is this only possible in Digitakt II?
You can not record audio with the Digitone II.
Chapter markers, please.
How entitled 🤣 how did you cope before?
Where is Chords machine?!?!?
It has full polyphony and new note editor? The chords machine was made to overcome the limitations of a monophonic instrument.
True polyphony and a chord editor are far more flexible than the chord machine
Doesn’t have a chord editor (yet) tho, maybe that‘s what was meant
when you have four fingers, you have a chord machine.
