It's not happening. I assume they'll be a new device with a new name that takes over it's role at some point though. I base this on absolutely nothing but a hunch that they'll want it's replacement to have a more intuitive workflow experience. 😂
Here's a hot tip - if there's a sudden price drop on a product line that's been around for years, it's a pretty good indicator that maybe a new version is gonna be released soon. So if you got a good price on your boxes, so late in their lifecycle, then it's a win, and you should be happy to have them! If however you did not get a good price on your DT or DN, and paid full price... then I guess your butt must be very sore, and you have my sympathy 🥹

This thing can do SO much, and yet... bell sounds. I give it 10 weeks (or less) before Florian has this on Bad Gear, because he'll go after anything and everything in the spotlight EXCEPT Sequential, which, for some reason, is enshrined in a "must not feature on Bad Gear" category with him. Oh well, fan boys...
With digitakt 2 they got me hyped but with these demo videos I am falling asleep. I am not hearing any good demonstrations of what this thing can do. 16 tracks is nice but give it to someone who makes it sound amazing.
how to you use it in a real world setting? Do you have each "track" or "voice" going into a DAW, or into a mixer into speakers? Im very new to Elektron,

Perhaps it’s because it isn’t showing you an actual workflow example. It’s just a creatively pretty video over an already recorded track of music and narration. I’m sure they may, or someone will show an actual “laying on of knobs and buttons” walkthrough video. I’ve always wanted one of their products but their product line is confusing to me so I couldn’t decide what device I wanted or needed. Not sure now if I should still take the plunge. I’m so undecided.
@@WeAreElektron yes please pretty please :) parameter slide, it’s so pretty on delays (used that a lot with the MnM) and I can imagine it would sound otherworldly on different comb parameters settings and feedback per step… if you see what I mean
I love how all my elektron boxes are now becoming vintage. This, however, would definitely be worth using alongside my OG digitone. One of the most amazing modern synths, IMHO.
I miss the quirky European directness of Cenk’s demos. The Americanized sleepy time delivery is a little too millennial podcast hipster. Still amazing updates for DT2 and DN2! Super excited.
