First of all, thank you for reacting to the Wagakki Band. 👍
Can be a little confusing with all these Japanese names, so let me explain.
This is from Daishinnenkai 2018 - Ashita e no Koukai -
The name of the song is "Tengaku" (Music of the Heavens)
"Daishinnenkai" means New Year's concert / party. The name of the concert is "Ashita e no Koukai" means something like "Hymn For Tomorrow".
That said, Tengaku are from their first album where all the songs are taken from Vocaloid. So this is actually a cover of "Rin Kagamine". "Rin & Len Kagamine", are humanoid personas voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media.
Confusing? 😳
I have seen my fair share of Anime, I think I follow. Haha.
This is my favorite Waggaki Band song. This group is what stated me down the J rock rabbit hole. Thank you guys for the reaction.
Wolfpack's here. Did you notice the cherry blossom petals on the guitar frets at 3:40. Machiya owns many beautiful special built guitars.
I did notice. Beautiful girls on stage, killin' it with their metal, I am paying attention to all the guitars and basses.
Daisuke (the shakuhachi player) has used a pedal with his 'flute' from time to time, and has even had a tiny microphone attached to it.
Yeah, I forgot about that part. We wouldn't hear him if he didn't have a mic on his Shakuhachi. I play music myself and I don't know why I never thought of that. Maybe I just though his lungs were that powerful to play as loud as an amplified band. Hahaha. 🤘☠🤘
To be fair, Daisuke San could also be an Airbender in disguise. He even floats around the stage like a breeze and comes in like a gust of wind on some parts. I think I'm onto something here.
Beni Beni Beni!

Do Hoshidzukiyo! Probably my favourite of theirs, but that isn't saying much because there are so many good songs haha. Sun Wheel is another excellent one.
I figured they were great song after great song. Do you happen to know how big their catalogue is? How many songs?
@@CaptainFaceBeard Sorry for butting in.
Albums:
Vocalo zanmai (covers) 12
Yasou emaki 15 (14 as Senbonzakura is vocaloid cover, but placed in this album as well)
Shikisai 17
Kiseki best collection - best of album with 4 new songs + 1 new cover (5)
Otonoe 12 (-1 that is also a single)
Tokyo singing 14 (-1 which is in the EP React)
singles:
Ame nochi kanjouron 3
Yuki kageboushi 3
Sasameyuki 3
fan club song 1
EP React 4
EP Starlight 4
1 song, only at tour venues (for now)
So...
91 - original and covers
I don't count the instrumental combinations.
Maybe i am missing something, but... overall that about it.
🤘☠🤘@@ohcomeongetoutofhere That is awesome, that is what I was hoping to hear. That there are a good amount of songs from them to listen to. Thanks for the reply. YOU'RE FANTASTIC!!
@@CaptainFaceBeard When you cover this up, you can extend the list with the members' solo activities.
@@CaptainFaceBeard They have released 5 albums and 2 EPs, they have also released a number of live albums and DVDs from their Daishinnenkai (WGB New Year's concert) and some other concerts. And several songs that have only been performed at concerts.
Studio albums: Vocalo Zanmai (2014), Yasou Emaki (2015), Shikisai (2017), Otonoe (2018), Tokyo Singing (2020)
EP: React (2019), Starlight (2021)
They have more than 80 songs, and they are all good in their own way. No two alike.
Try 'Guernica' for a pretty heavy vibe for them.
👍👍 request ~ 雅楽 ( gagaku ) , hideki , togi ・tears in heaven ( cover )
What I find so weird is so many of my friends don't get my Japanese band journey for the last ten years. Given the choice they rather go and see Coldplay, rather than the Wagakki band!
I look at it as there being multiple types of music fans. People who take journeys down different paths, and try to find new music that means something to us are almost like Explorers.
@@CaptainFaceBeard Yes, explorers is a good analogy. I would like to explore some of those KPop lady's but that is a different thing altogether! LOL 😄
@@Glynthepin Explorers is a better analogy then what I was going to type originally "Song Lookers"
Kenshin. Yes. Let's call him kenshin. I approve ❤
I would have him play Kenshin in a live action, he is a very good looking man.
@@CaptainFaceBeard He was called Orochimaru once. I don't know how to take this. haha They were comparing the band members with Naruto characters.
@@ohcomeongetoutofhere that's funny, the beginning of the song definitely gave me Naruto vibes for sure so i can see why.
@@CaptainFaceBeard lol tru tru. Although the actor who played kenshin for the live action movies did play the role perfectly.
@@mariettaconcha3198 That's a vocaloid song, but they have anime music. - for Twin star exorcist, Sengoku musou, Marsred and the live action mini series Attack on titan.
That is not ashita e koukai but tengaku
