I don't know what exactly the factor is but hyundai cars have a certain simplicity in them which appeals to a wider set of audience. They always offer quality and value for money products. Really one of the nicest automobile company out there
The Safari or the hector plus maybe a literally streched version of the Harrier and Hector, but the Alcazar isn't just a streched Creta. It's an Alcazar, more like the smaller successor for the old 2019 Tucson based on the Palaside's design,(yeah it was the first to get inspired form Palaside's weird design). But we still want the new gen 2021 Tucson too, but Hyundai never launched it yet in India.
Among all the reviewers of Autocar India, he is the one I would like to review all the cars. He has better presentation skills than other reviewers and his reviews are precise, to the point and without containing any fuss. Plus if he thinks that a particular vehicle is comfortable for him to travel then it's going to be comfortable for most of the average sized Indians. More importantly, his critical analysis of the performance of the vehicle he reviews is always better than other reviewers which I think makes him the best reviewer among all the Autocar India reviewers.
this guy and the skinny one are best in this channel . they share their own views and not very polished unlike others which seems like scripted. They are not shy of telling negatives which should be the case when reviewing . others still hesitate i don't know why.
Engine has lesser specs compared to safari, at the 3 rd row it's strictly limited to two kids. Hyundai should also have thought about 3 row seating for adults as well. 😠 I would go for safari as it's safe, engine is good and its class apart .
There's a smooth naturally aspirated petrol for people looking for performance. There's the 20 kmpl diesel for those looking for low maintenance. And power to weight ratio will help. Of course, the fiat engine in the safari is a gem though.
The safari is powerful absolutely. But a lot of people are not gonna prioritize that. These cars will be mostly mall crawlers, and in so, the extensive features list of the Alcazar over the safari will give it the edge.
@@SPM_SS petrol engine does not give that feel of a powerful diesel anywhere bro. Specially this doesn't have a turbo petrol. It's a normal line at powered one and u will sleep of driving this lol
True verdict. Awesome review. Yup, Safari would be good if you frequently ride with 6 or 7 adults but for family with kids and 3 adults then Alcazar would be fine.
A few units of Alcazar have arrived at one of our local dealership in Guwahati. The ambient lights look really cheap ( tho 1st in segment). The seats feel hard and the interior plastic is not up to the mark. I haven't driven so cannot speak about performance. Also the 3rd row is best left for kids. if you can look past this then alcazar is a good option
Try covering the 450+ not the x(u already have the x's review) and the the Bajaj chethak,the pure ev duo,super soco 400 , benling aura and just let us know the efficiency figures u extract out of them,it is a really really nice step from u guys!!

Hyundai for the first time has a good prospect of cracking the premium 20 lacs plus segment.. What the tucson couldnt achieve.. But hector plus will hold its market safe.

Nice review. showing the easiness of parking and moving around in crowded traffic could give a good picture of how comfortable it is to drive in the city traffic.
So one should not buy it for the 3rd row, the major feature for which it was launched. Does it make any sense? They messed up the 2nd row as well. But thankfully it has class-leading boot space if you really consider it to be in the same segment that of Safari, Innova, XUV 500. You can always accommodate the extra person in 180 liters boot.

The side profile makes it look almost like an mpv hector plus-ish. The brown color on the dash feels tacky in person, specially when you realise it's not even soft touch, forget about synthetic leather. And the third row space is really really scarce. A bit of a miss from hyundai.

Finally, the appearance of the rear lights has improved..but the strange thing is that there are no ventilation holes for the front brakes..I wish a very large fuel tank for long travel and trips..the fuel tank is like a cell phone battery. It is stupid to have a modern and pioneering mobile phone, but with a remote control battery. This kills car sales.. Giant cold air conditioning from the ceiling and from the bottom and cooling seats with very strong thermal insulation... I wish the seats were completely folded at the touch of a button... and the interior design is modern, resembling Changan Uni-k
Ventilated seat , air purifier, 360 camera, blind spot in instrument cluster, remote start (blue links) these features are not available in tata harrir/ safari.
Tata Safari though a great SUV, i feel it badly needs an update.. its dashboard is just not as future ready as its rivals plus it doesnt do justice to the hefty price tag which it commands. Tatas must be aware of the impending launch of XUV700 because that SUV is going to really trouble them..

Magnite's 1 litre naturally aspirated engine and Alcazar's 1.5 litre diesel engine 😣. Getting same vibes... Also structural strength of nowadays Hyundai Kia cars especially are doubtful where safety is of major concern when traveling with whole family, plus lack of space always being a big negative. Still majority will go for this less VFM product for tablet like features and air purifier ☹️

Its got Android Auto and Apple CarPlay but not wireless. You need a phone cable to plug in
Still I would prefer Safari over this, bcz of powerful engine in Safari & third row is also big compared to this
But it's a little harder to drive in the city due to the heavy steering, and it has no boot space at all when all the seats are up.
They should have added the 2.0 litre diesel engine of tuscon in alcazar

The rear resembles Hexa and the vehicle itself feels more like Ertiga albeit pricier for some fancy gadget. Safari rival?? Not even close.
360 camera, blind spot view, air purifier, bose premium, rear window sunshade, all seltos stuff but good vehicle.
Alcazar diesel engine is just 67 percent of the rivals.Petrol engine is decent but the arrival of mstallion is a concern for alcazar

Safari Interiors are royal. This has more sporty. And its infotainment system looks aftermarket.
I am actually waiting for next gen 2l diesel elantra/tucson to upgrade my verna and creta. These at present are too old. And there are many like me.
