Leaves are the bane of my life in blacksmithing! I'm getting better with them, but I've still got a long way to go. Grear work and wonderful techniques! Cutting those notches is a nice little touch of realism!
Your videos are very well made. Kudos. I especially appreciate the way you start a new section slowly but then immediately speed it up to see the metal take shape. Very informative!
I cannot thank you enough for showing me your process. I've just done the project, took about 90 minutes for the first one and it came out like I've done hundreds. It does you great credit when your process is so refined that a hobbyist smith like me can get a similar result on the first try. Although the texturing and proportion on your leaf are much better.
Thankyou for this video, iam just returning to work after family life took up my time, my forge is set up and I needed a refresher in some things your film showed me stuff I had forgotten over the last ten years and gave new tips I did not know excellent I'm off now to get the fire lit!!
BEAUTIMUS! (Tennessee slang for MOST BEAUTIFUL)!!! You show great care & demonstrate great love for the metal! You are a true artist! Thank you for taking your time to do this video!
Wow man I didn't realize its gonna take so much hammering..... my arm would fall of after 1 minute of it. Greate work , good luck and keep posting more videos so we all can like them ;D
I'm an amateur blacksmith (at best) and you can color me impressed! Subscribed. It's great to watch an actual skilled smith at work instead of people just machining stuff and calling it "forging".
Holy shit Torbjörn Åhman! Wicked! I truly believe that man loves nothing more than to create something with his very own hands and it shows in this video. Can't wait to try something like this myself!
Just wanted to thank you for posting this video. I've begun a project using this method. Proud to say I am very happy with the results. They may not be as detailed, but I am making several leaves and getting crazy compliments and praise.. Thank you for the idea and the knowledge
Just wanted to add my FB page so you can see a little what I did in my past projects :) Tell me what ya think :) ? facebook.com/Kalvyst%C4%97-ir-juvelyrika-viename-BS-JC-169253323096125/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel
I was like yeah sure I'll watch it, and let's see how much is forged and how much is done on the grind wheel... I am very pleased to see none at all! I wish more videos were like this :D
must have watched this twenty times and always learn something, they say "the devil's in the details" and I think that's what you teach me more than anything else, pay attention to details!...once again, thank you for what you do!
Great leaf. I never even thought I could do something like this and now I want to try! I really want to do more with everlast welder and am really beginning to love ornamental iron working.
Wow... _On silver necklaces they strung the flowering stars, on crowns they hung the dragon's fire, on twisted wire they meshed the light of moon and sun...._ I bow to you.
Torbjörn Åhman I needed to see how people worked in the forges, and your channel is a great example. This actually reminds me of the Silver Oakleaf from Ranger's Apprentice. Keep up the good work :)
These are the best blacksmithing videos available, no talk, no fucking stupid music, just how it’s done by a master.
Videos like this make me say to myself, "What are you doing with your life?" Blacksmithing skills are very underrated. Great Job

There's something poetic about making something so delicate out of something so strong.

Tom Bombadil I have two questions for you, Tom. How is Fatty Lumpkin, and has anyone else wanted across the path of a barrow wight?
The One Who Does Things Fatty Lumpkin's well. And yes. people sometimes pass by it, but the Barrow Wights are gone now so its safe.
Tom Bombadil I have a few more questions, but the most pressing one is...What are you, since you can wear the ring without anything happening?
That was awesome. Thanks for uploading.
What a remarkable talent for your craft ! Truly inspiring.
Thank you Robert!
