I Agree. I have even seen people who don’t even know how to play an instrument so mesmerised by that rhythm section. Each to their own but it’s something we will probably never see again. Such a rock solid section

I agree, he is able to do what he does because of the rhythm section, they are able to keep the same beat or rhythm for 20 minutes while he does his thing.
They don’t get enough credit for sure

Of course everyone have his taste, but i don't understand the problem of the lenght of the solo.
I mean, that's their show, they're just having fun making what they like to do and the crowd is enjoying it.
That's a solo for the crowd in fact, for who's in the stadium (in fact the studio version of the song is a normal 5 minutes track.)
He's doing this for over 40 years now and people still loving that "Angus Show" at the end of the concert.

This takes me back to the late 70's. Was never their biggest fan but enjoyed their early stuff like this way back then. Always thought the guitarist had watched a lot of late 60's Alvin Lee or Lesley West to form his sound. I often bring up the guitarist whenever I hear "Band-Maid/BabyMetal/Lovebites wear dresses as a gimmick" kind of comments (though ZZ Top's beards and KISS's animal face painting may get mentioned too).

AC/DC were my favourite band for a while, back in the 70s, after Queen and before Judas Priest. I've continued to love their sound, but I tend to agree with you on this one. I enjoyed it a bit more than you and didn't get bored until the second half of the second solo, but it is definitely overextended.
Slightly off-topic, but they gave me one of my favourite moments with my old college band. We were doing a couple of AC/DC songs (Walk All Over You and Whole Lotta Rosie) and I thought it would be cool to do them wearing shorts, so I put on a pair under my trousers and opened the show in shirt and tie too. After the previous song I started to take off my trousers, not realising the effect this would have on the audience. There was a horrified mass intake of breath, followed a moment later by a relieved collective outbreath. It's audible on the tape we made. Somebody also took a great picture of me on my knees, head thrown back, screaming into a microphone and looking far more rock 'n' roll than I was in reality. Good times.

gotta take into account the fact that angus is worn out at this point, it was about 2hrs into a show and he still did that, yeah there was a lot of repeating, but the casual fan who doesnt know how to play a guitar wont even notice the repeating, if this was like at the start of the show then angus would have done a lot more then 5 tricks repeatedly, but this solo is beloved by many and its normally 12-13 minutes at most of there concerts, but they did a bigger solo for south africa that day.

I agree with you David, it's all fine and good to do a long solo but they could have played 3 or 4 more songs in that time. I guess Brian Johnson needed a ten minute break after singing the beginning of the song ,LOL. This is and always will be a Bon Scott song for me, I'm not saying they shouldn't do Bon's songs but I will not play them unless Bon is singing. Why would I when I can play the original, that's just me. The performance et al is great but personally I would rather have them play a few more songs I would like to hear in that time, just my personal taste. Thanks David, Peace.

I'd say the early to mid 90s versions when Angus gets lost on his way to and from his platform Malcolm got his chance to show how good he really was sort of giving him the spotlight with the boys backing him up donington is a good example it was very rare but a moment he deserved. On a side u did u happen to notice there keeping in sync even in pitch black on stage?

I agree with you on the length of this one. Eddie Van Halen he is not, but his energy, especially at his age there, is amazing.

One of my favorite songs of theirs but do prefer Bon. They should have lost the first half of the solo. The drums where very monotonous and perhaps the main reason most would tune out. Would have been great to see some interaction with the bass and drums with their own little contribution rather than pounding out the same beats.
