- Winter in a Tiny House on Wheels is always a challenge! Especially when the temperature drops and we get a foot of snow & Patrick has to go to work 😳🙈 Redford & I hold things together at the tiny house & try to make sure the pipes don't freeze.

We are a (sort of) normal couple living a rather unusual lifestyle in a Tiny House on Wheels (192 square feet) trying to fit more adventure, travel and exploration into our lives! We love to go camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking…and traveling with our 16 foot Scamp Trailer. We have an awesome Adventure dog named Redford that is up for anything. Hi Northern neighbor, we had 12 inches here in Lewes, but it was hard to get a good measurement because the wind blew so hard there were some places you could see grass but others had snow banks as high as the Subaru. I have the same skirting under my 60x 20 but I put an electric heat strip between the ground and the belly band. Thank you for the beautiful video of the walk, the trees here were the same. Redford looks like he really had fun in the snow. It was so pretty out there.
he has really enjoyed the snow now that he is a bit warmer with his coat on 😁
That is clever using egg cartons, I use empty toilet paper rolls and fill them with dryer lint. I put several in a gallon ziplock bag to take camping for starting campfires. I love being the first (or only) person to walk in the snow, I love how it wraps you in a blanket of silence. A magical moment.
TP rolls work great too 👍 its fun to use stuff you already have. It was so quiet walking in the snow- it was too cold for everyone else 😂
There's something adventurous about getting ready for a storm. Hope everything worked out.
