Es una ejecución Magistral del Concierto del Sur, de Manuel M.Ponce nacido en Fresnillo Zacatecas, México. Fué gran amigo de Don Andrés Segovia a quien le dedicó éste concierto. La técnica de ésta guitarrista es Quasi-perfecta.
Ms Millán plays an excellent interpretation of a beautiful and underappreciated guitar concerto here. Poncé was one of the greats for guitar.
Hermoso, aunque yo creo que la guitarra ya debería contar con audio especial o al menos un micrófono, no lo sé.
Lo digo porque de pronto hay partes que no se oyen.
Soy Mexicano,y conozco bien la obradel inolvidable maestro Manuel.M. Ponce,la escribió a petición de Andrés Segovia y la estrenaron en Montevideo Uruguay,Ponce dirigiendo la Orquesta y Segovia ejecutando la guitarra.Gracias por incluir en su repertorio esta bella obra,aparte le escribió obras para guitarra sola aSegovia

Inspiradora interpretación! Yo quiero ser un guitarrista clásico y tocar en una orquesta muchas veces.
plus j'ecoute ce concerto plus je l'aime.... quelle magnifique facon de filmer un concerto!!!! avec la technique parfaite et la sensibilité de la soliste comment peut on jouer si bien aussi jeune avec une telle maturité musicale? et une attention constante et complicité avec le chef d'orchestre: du coup j'ai acheté la partition pour découvrir les mystéres de cette veritable symphonie avec guitare ....une préférence pour la cadence dela fin du premier mouvement qui nous montre tout le talent de cette brillante artiste......j'espere qu'elle se produira un jour à paris ou en france!!!

cette talenteuse soliste aurait mérité une salle plus remplie une tel accord entre chef et soliste le mérite!!! meme si ce n'est pas mon concerto préféré l'orchestration est de grande qualité
et la partie soliste est très bien écrite on ne peut que se réjouir que ce ce concerto existe et surtout qu'il soit si bien joué quelle clarté et quelle précision!!!

Que mal ese director, la ORTVE siempre ha sido una buena orquesta pero ahí no se entiende nada, la guitarrista bastante buena...

I have been looking for a work that I find as delightful as Concierto de Aranjuez ( Joaquin Rodrigo). I just found it in this project.
I'd recommend Tekemitsu's "Pegasus Effect" guitar concerto if you haven't heard it yet too.
There are many - I would say the Castlenuovo-Tedesco number one has that Spanish flavour, but my personal favourite is the Malcolm Arnold.

She is great but this song sucks, not a pretty music, I am sorry for my honesty.
Certainly i don't like the piano concerto by Manuel m Ponce, but this concerto is plenty of spaniard origin melodies,.very refined ones and without stealing anything to any spaniard music composer, this is how traditional spaniard guitar sounds, and certainly you are honest too, but this is question of personal likings

Seems she needs a mic closer to her guitar or on higher volume. Each individual instrument on the orchestra is clear in solo while her guitar seems muted exceppt in her parts with a deeper dig into the string. She's great nonetheless, feels the music.

Excelente primer movimiento, el segundo a mi gusto está un poco rápido y en el tercero como que se les estaban acabando las pilas a la orquesta y esa insistente mirada de la solista sobre el director (cuyo trabajo estuvo fenomenal) me indica demasiada cautela para no perderse en las entradas, esto es con mirada analítica. Por lo demás fue un concierto encantador. ¡Felicidades!

I think it is Antonio Marin Montero. Handy camera shot of the label looking like "Antonio" And the label looks like his. As does the head. I checked the label on one of his at Guitar Salon International. He is 89 and seems to be still making guitars
