  • I am going to the international Norton owners meet-up in Buffalo Wyoming soon. I am going to take my time going there and coming back. I figure at least 12 days. Plan on seeing and doing a lot.

I haven't used it yet, haven't needed new tires. Only have about 5,000 miles on my current set, and they still look awesome.

I hope the bike serves me well on the trip. I think the key is to do a walk around twice a day looking for loose bolts. Pretty common with my bike

So you are happen with the 700? I hope mine keeps me happy. It was a good thing I put a new tire up front as I took a look at the brake pads and they were about toast. So new pads will be installed.

It really feels Great! it's wearing quite Nicely, But it will come off for the winter, I will go back to the Michelin T-63 (as I just happen to have a brand new one on the spare rack. After seeing what happened with this tire, I will be ordering a 700 series for the front also. Winter, I will use one of my old tires, 50/50.

I took the bike for a ride today with the new tires. It seemed to track well. I hope they hold up.

I actually never noticed it. I happened to take a look at the tire after riding 360 miles last week. I saw the damage, and thought how I could not tell any difference in the ride.

I always hope that. but the unexpected can always come. I try to stay humble, yet make sure I plan as well as I can. Monsoon is here, so no telling what can happen weather wise. Still I think I will be fine.

Never had a Tire Chunk like that. I have the 700 series on the rear right now! Those ATV seat covers sure let the ass breathe!

Funny, how I was mentioning his success at Gettysburg, then I noticed he did it exactly 150 years ago today. July 3rd 1863

He did have balls. He played a major factor in the Gettysburg battle by repulsing J.e.b. Stuarts Calvary. Custer was out-manned, but committed a charge that successful. He was brave, but his luck ran out.

I don't plan on taking a computer, so I will not be updating as I go along. Have you been to the Battle of the Little Big Horn?

How did it feel like when the knobs popped off your tire while riding ?

I didn't hear much except the first minute and decided I wasn't in to self-flagellation because I'm a white guy. But, I think the direction of the talk was pretty much what you lay out.
As I said, I didn't stick around that long as I had eaten lunch 30 minutes earlier and wanted to keep it down. That said, Custer was arrogant but he earned his command during the Civil War in which he was an outstanding calvary commander and helped mightily at Appomattox to surround Lee and end the war.

  • @KeukaRyder
    @KeukaRyder 11 лет назад

Yeah I went to Little Big Horn. It was okay but not a lot to see. You can see Custer's marker but it's where he fell not where he's buried.
The surrounding countryside is rolling plains and pleasant to look at. There are some nice shade trees where the 7th calvary is buried.
There is a Politically Correct talk given by a ranger. I avoid that crap at all costs They advise not to walk around out in the battle field because of rattlers.
Net:It's American history so stop and see it.

So the Politically correct stuff was clearly anti-Custer? He was arrogant. I think that was his doom. The natives from the beginning of the European encroachment always used ambush strategy. Usually they would send in a small force to harass or attack, then they would flee as the white man would attack. The fleeing force would lead the white man's force into a deadly trap. This was done time and time again. The Arrogant leaders often ended up dead along with their minions.

That would be happy not happen
