    Lovely review! I use a Wacom Intuos Pro Large Paper edition and now I feel tempted to jump to a different experience using a 'screen' where I can draw directly... Now the big question is about the product...Initially I thought about the Cintiq PRO 24 4k (no touch) but now, after watching your video, I have decided to wait and make some additional investigation. Thank you!!!

      You should hold off for another few weeks as the new Xencelabs 24"Display is hitting the market!!! Its $1800US and the reviews from actual users have been glowing. That's where I would throw my coin if it were me. Worth waiting a few more weeks for at the very least.

    Thank you for a great intro to this sophisticated tablet.👍 Currently I am using an iPad Air 2 - no pen support, but still am creating fun art with ‘SketchBook’. I’ve used the app on an android phone with good results, and I cannot recommend it enough - there is a pro version, but I have not exhausted the capabilities of the app as it is. On this Huion screen, the experience would be of an other order. Wow!

    Good tablet that feels premium but they drop the ball with the wires on top. The USB C and power cord sticking up like that is an eye soar plus the USB C is too short. If you put it on an ergo arm you'll need more give.

    It is said that KD100 is included in the box, so how does it compare to Tourbox?

    • @ArtistComposer
      @ArtistComposer  2 года назад +1

      Honestly, I think Huion threw together the KD 100 as an afterthought to be competitive with Wacom’s Express Key Remote. The Tourbox seems like a dedicated high end programmable key remote, and KD 100 looks nice, but feels light weight and cheapish… it’s still fully programmable, convenient, and gets the job done, just feels pretty cheap compared to the pen monitor itself… personally, I prefer to use my computer’s keyboard for my painting shortcuts, but I may warm up to the KD 100 over time, especially with the programmable dial… maybe I’ll use it for quick zoom, or to change brush sizes, etc…

    • @chenyupei2658

      @@ArtistComposer If I define key A as Command , then I define key B as C, so can I press those two keys as Command +C in the KD100? I heard that this operation can't be completed with it.

    I've been looking at this and the Wacom 24 Cintiq Pro. Here in Canada the price difference is negligible. $2000 for the Huion, and $2250 for the Wacom. This makes me want the Wacom more as I know that brand. However, there are some potential drawbacks.
    The Wacom monitor is heavier and beefier with bigger bezels. Also the Wacom has fans in it which isn't a great thing imho because of noise, dust and just another part that can break. Also accessories for the Wacom are much more expensive (ie a proper stand).
    Huion though is a bit unknown when it comes to longevity and support. I've heard very mixed things about them.

    How does this compare to the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24?

    • @ArtistComposer
      @ArtistComposer  2 года назад +3

      Hey, Starwaves! Very similar to the Cintiq Pro 24. Same resolution, similar tablet design, no built-in express keys (both come with the express keys remote), similar type of built-in stand, same amount of pen pressure levels and tilt recognition… both pens are battery free, and can take a felt tip. I don’t know how the color compares to each other in person. I have not seen the 2020 Cintiq pro in person.
      The bezels on the Cintiq Pro are fatter than the Kamvas Pro, and it costs about $700 more at the base model.
      I imagine the cintiq pen and remote feel a bit more professional than the kamvas pen and remote (the accessories feel less premium than the Kamvas tablet itself, but they are also way cheaper to replace if needed than Wacom accessories).
      Kamvas Pro definitely delivers where it counts, with the display itself, and the way the pen interacts with the display, which is really the two most important parts of a pen display… Wacom I’m sure delivers where it counts too, they’ve been on top for decades, it’s only in the last 5-10 years that they’ve really had to worry about any serious competition. :)

      I totally second what Isaac Lundgren said ! .. maybe what I can add will help ,.. I had the opportunity to see in a showroom this cintiq 24 pro (couldn’t try it ) ‘but’ I tried the wacom intuos pro tablet ..same pen (wacom pro pen 2 ). And I’ve been using a wacom c9ntiq copanion 2 (with pro pen 1) (Im actually using the huion kamvas pro 22 plus) Yes. Wacom pen feels biit better and also different ,. But huion pen 3.0 is nowhere super faar behind .. its like if wacom is 100% huion is a 92-97% there . And its also debatable coz its matter of opinion .. I think wacom pro pen 2 has less activation force But you can adjust this in huion menu,.. regarding the screen .. I saw and felt wacom screen more muddier ,..its not bad at all but colors are not as vibrant ..this si because the anti glare coating and how crystal is made ..it makes colors and fine detail..with a strange look .. in my cintiq companion this was even worst . ! You can get used to it ..but in specific times when theres a white screen/canvas ..I can see it . It bothers me . Also the wacom nibs wears too fast . I see huion screen more better . One of the reasons I was now looking for kamvas 24 4k pro reviews it’s bcz Im thinking of upgrading from my huion 22 plus . :) Also money is not a minor thing .. 2000usd vs 1299. Its a big chunk . Maybe if the gap were more closer chising one could be more difficult ,.. Whan I switched from cintiq companion 2 with pro pen. To huion kamvas 22 plus my transition last like a week and a few days .. and just to throw some more thoughts .. this thing about. Pens and technologies .. there are people that still preffer older wacom intuos 3 tech ( old grey one tablets) and I mean profesional artists..!.
      For me. Pro pen 1. (9cintiq companion, wacom qhd 27,.) is very similar in feel.. wacom pro pen 2 is bit better. But not worth to spend 800-900 depending where u are buying it .

    I've been struggling to find a monitor arm for this tablet that doesn't rock/move when drawn on, especially on the far edges.
    Has this monitor arm worked out for you in the long term? Is there absolutely no shakiness when drawing with full pressure?
    Thanks!

    • @ArtistComposer
      @ArtistComposer  2 года назад +1

      This stand is weighted for even heavier monitors than the Huion 24 4k... I noticed very little movement while drawing on it. It's not as solid as the built-in stand wresting right on the desk... but for a mobile Arm/ stand, it seems fine to me...

    Would love to know if anyone else who owns one of these notices the "check mark" or "fish hook" effect at the beginning or end of really fast strokes. It's a deal killer for me. Also how bad is the calibration drifting at the corners and ends of the screen?

    wacom cintiq 22 venus or huion kamvas 24 pro 4k ?

    • @Chejov1214
      @Chejov1214 2 года назад

      Maybe my comment will help u .. I work as a digital artist I would say go with the. Huion kamvas pro 24 4k .. or the 24 pro 2k(qhd 1440p) but the plus model .. end of 2019 I was in a hurry and bought the huion kamvas 22 plus its 1080p ..same as wacom 22hd ..I was deciding between them And was afraid too. With full of doubts .. and yes I was concern about longevity as well .. and for comparison I have a wacom intuos 4 and a cintiq companion 2 13" i7. And I tried the wacom pro pen 2 I definitely would go with the Huion kamvas pro 24 4k + coz. It’s 4k! Screen is more clear and has better colors more wider spectrum. Blacks are better ! Deeper,. Construction is solid . It dont feel cheap .. as about the pen .. it feels super nice I’ve been using wacom all my life and. Pressure curve in huion is not worst Is very good It even has some pluses over my wacom cintiq, companion 2 .. with huion u can feel the transition from very thiin to thick lines with wacom the activation force is more sensible .. all in all u can adjust it with the control settings in the huion menu .. if I can compare it with the pro pen 2 (wacom great an latest super duper tech) yess it has a slight advantage,.. wacom feels more tuned ,, polished .. but the nibs wear down Super fast like a nib in 2 weeks .. also. The wacom companion 2. And the cintiq pro 24 4k (Which I saw in a show room but did’t tried .. they both have this anti glare film(?) or layer. Its nice but at the same time it makes screen ,colors ,.. details ..like ..muddier(?) or something .. in the cintiq companion 2 it is worst! I very much prefer the colors and looks of my huion 22 plus .. I have a week period of transition .. but wasn’t nacht and day ,.. both are good but are different brands so taste and feeling is different . Regarding the old tech on the wacom cintiq 22. (Same as in my intuos 4 :p). Naah Go for the huion don’t even doubt it . !..

      Nice of you to ask… my day job has been keeping me swamped (teaching graphic design at a local high school, lots of planning and grading in my free time these days). I get the most time to work on my game during the summers… :) (and sometimes nights or weekends).
      It’s getting close to the end, but for one person, only working primarily in the summers, it could still be years away…
      Basically, I am working on art, story and programming for the final act… then I’ll be going back to the whole game for voice recording and sound design. I’ve been scoring the music throughout the process, so that won’t need as much work near the end… I also need to go through the entire game, asset by asset, and optimize the data, the game is over 7 gigs currently, and that number is going to keep climbing unless I can shrink some file sizes down…
      Then there’s the usual, ironing out bugs, fine tuning story connections, reworking older art assets (since I’ve grown so much since some of the areas were started), a lot to do… and I don’t want it rushed, I want it to be just right. I’m not a greedy company pumping something out as fast as possible for profit… It’s more like an art process for me… working on it a day at a time, until something inside tells me it’s ready… (I know, not a good business strategy, that’s why I also have a day job)! :)
      I’m not asking anybody to wait for it, but it’s nice when people tell me they are every once in a while. :)
      If you’re ever in Arizona, you can come over and beta test/ critique the first 4/5ths of the game with my kids. :)

    Your Huion Kamvas Pro 24 (4K) screen clearly shows color problems, white turns into pink.
    this is clearly seen in comparison with the LG monitor.
    take a macro photo of your Huion and you will see "colored trash".
    LG has good color rendering.
