Back Stage (#7 of 20)

OK...now you get to go to the top of the hill!! You get to see Center Stage in all it's glory and terror (LOL) as you go up. Getting off the red chair is probably the easiest at PNS, there is lots of room up there. Backstage can also be accessed from the White Chair, however I do NOT recommend this to beginners, the landing off the white chair is very steep. You really need to be good at skating and gliding for this chairlift. Backstage is fun and a little different from the other trails you've now ran because it has a 90 degree left turn just a little way from the top. Going down the right side of the bend is easier for beginners! Be aware of a drop-off on the right side of this trail right as you are coming out of the woods, beginners will want to stay to the left, this will also help you avoid running into the rope tow in Jam Session! The end of this run will also be one of the steepest slopes you've encountered to this point, don't be embarrassed to side-slip down it as you get comfortable with the run. This steep end can also be icy so be careful as you try to catch your edge on this slope. One word about the red chairlift. If you are coming from the right side it tends to run downhill so its kind of difficult to coast into the lines. I'd recommend skating and keeping your foot on the ground as you negotiate the line.
