I was lucky enuf to work in Cooke City one summer. After every shift my co-workers and I would jump in my truck and explore every road in the area. Very fun and beautiful place to play
Sure brought back some fifty year old memories. You probably already know the burnt trees were from the 1988 Yellowstone fire. I was surprised at how rough the road had gotten. We used to drive two wheel drive pickups all the way to Abundance. That was before the wilderness act. We would drive up Daisy and down Lulu. Good old days. Thanks again.😊
You are welcome Greg! Glad you were able to relive some old memories from that area. You actually could take that road in a 2WD but the 4WD makes it easier. Thanks for the comment! :-)
@@AuthorMelissaCookI watched horse thief cave again. We're thinking about going there. How's the knee? We went across big Pryor. Don't try the dandy mine road on the South end. It's washed out and very bad.
Omg you guys remind me of my parents and relatives who go overlanding annually. They all act pretty much the same as all of you in these vids lol. Great vibes!
HAHA - I guess it's a trait of those who prefer the back roads to the main roads. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment about your crazy family! LOL
There are so many trails up there! It's cool to see places where I camped my whole life. I was camped just below that overlook with My grandkids the week before! Lots of griz back there! The slough creek drainage which is just below Lake Abundance has long had the highest number of Griz in the area!
There are trails everywhere! We will have to go back and check some of the others out that we missed that day. I could see that drainage below Lake Abundance having a lot of bears. It is definitely bear territory! Glad we covered an area that brings camping memories to you. Thanks for the comment and for watching. :-)
I wish we could put one out every week. They take about 40-50 hours of editing to take 8-9 hours of video down to a quality 30 minutes. We appreciate you watching and leaving us feedback. 🙂

Hi Elgin and Melissa…I just bought my wife an 6 inch mini-chain saw for her pruning. I thought this was something that y’all might want to look into for your outdoor trips! They are fairly inexpensive and are small in size.
Hello Larry... Those would be very handy - especially in the spring when the trees have been knocked down by the snow and we are the first ones through. We do carry a buck saw for all our trips. We have had to winch trees out of the way a number of times but that small saw may be just the ticket! Thanks for the thought. :-) - Elgin
@@wyomingjeepers Hi Elgin, I was watching another 4WD video where there were about 8 In the group. They were going from Washington State through Oregon and into Nevada..they hit some trees that were downed by a storm and I saw this one guy with the Mini-Chain saw and he was cutting all of the limbs off the tree. That is when Ithught that it would be cool to have those for getting kindling for your fire.. Just trying to be helpful!
We are so glad you love the music. We work hard to find the right songs to fit the story and we love the style of music we include. Most of the videos we put out have the name of the music in the description. All of the music with the exception of one song (the main song that starts every video) is royalty free. If you search for royalty free music, you may find some of it. RUclips has a music section we can sift through to find the songs but they are all available in other places too. Thanks for your comment!
@@wyomingjeepers I so appreciate your reply. I have followed your videos for some time now and its my way of getting out in the open. are both Jeeps manual transmissions?
No... 2 Door is an automatic. 4 Door is a manual.
Thanks for watching and leaving us a question. We used to have a manual, too, but we traded it for the Bikini Jeep, which is automatic.
