- On this adventure I take off on a backpacking trip to explore beautiful Alpine Lake in Northern Montana, I enjoyed breath taking scenery, and some fly fishing action.

Alpaca Scout is my goto for high lakes in the Wallowas. Lot of these lakes are planted with Brook trout from aerial drop.

Steve, to add to your fleet of boats….for hiking into lakes look into lightweight U boats and lightweight fins. It’ll get you access to the entire lake. Not sure if you have one already and just didn’t bring it on this trip.

Just curious, what is the device clipped on your pack strap? I assume one side is bear spray, is the other some sort of mosquito repellent device ?
Its called Zoleo, its a satellite communicator. Basically lets me text people out of service as well as has SOS button if something was to go wrong.

@@bryangagne5354 main reason i got it , i like it good peace of mind. You can also send loved ones your location and stuff also. Gives you access to weather and stuff like that. Plenty of youtube videos out there about diffrent manufacturers. Big two i believe is this one and garmin mini.
