oh my, each stage of your childs growth is so fun to watch as they learn and grow. Four kids and they are all a blessing.
I like to imagine Levi running forward setting up the tripod then running back and driving past then driving back and getting the camera
some of my favourite (private) videos that I have are of my kids back in 2008-2012 or so. Lots of fun to rewatch multiple times.

Stoked for your growing family! I personally love seeing young families out in nature doing the vanlife/overland sort of lifestyle! I don't really watch that sort of content often, since I don't have a significant other, or kids... But it makes me think that there's a possibility for me to continue the vanlife/overland lifestyle, and be able to have a family come along for the journey. While life is better when you make stuff, it's even better when you get to share it with people your care deeply about.

I grew up in the bush in the Yukon and I am forever grateful for having had such a magical childhood. Ember is so lucky to have these experiences.

I have struggle in the past, about combination vanlife + filmmaking, until I found your channel. I saw that it could be possible to do it. Also DIY stuff is big cherry on top. So your channel and work is inspiration for me.

My daughter Abby just turned 10... but 17:04 took me right back to when she was little and I would sneak a hand onto the back of a coat or shirt so she could be adventurous but I could always make a "dad save" if need-be. Thanks for sharing some of your family time with us!
There are quite a few nice mini beaches along that Lake road. If you continue over the bridge at the end of the road and follow for 20 minutes on foot you reach where the river enters the lake. Lots of nice sandy beaches.
Enjoying each chapter of life we are given is a great perspective to live by. May you be richly blessed in every chapter.

@@Levi_Allen one river valley over to the east. Nice long gravel road to the border. Lots of little pull out spots. My nephew at mhutt films likely has a bunch of great spots.

the scenery is sooooo typical bc and thus verry beautful and contrast rich😍 soo nice , i live in austria ( kinda the european version of canada , but its all more of a light green color and there are more people , if i eventually get 18 and my driving licencs i have to get a van or boxtruck and see the whole country for myself 1.5 years to go 🥲

600ah of lifpo4 is of course super cool, but our 55liter under slung LPG tank we can easily fill up at most gas stations works just fine without any hassle.
It’s just fun filling up from the sun : )

Did you use both your 20mm and your 24-105 lens here? I noticed some shots that were closer up and wondering how you could have achieved that with just the 20mm alone

I think you may need to eventually upgrade to a short length schoolie, just for that little bit more space, cause frankly I don't know how you'll manage it sleeping space wise with 2 kids in this particular van.

I have a question about squeaky noises from which part of the wood construction? I have watched all your van build video’s. And i wonder if the squeaky noises ever appeared or started to appear, when the wood started to bend or twist (don’t know the correct english term)??? My biggest worry for my van build was the use of wood. And so i was trying to avoid using wood for my future van build. And then Covid came and really placed me on hold. But it gave me the opportunity to experiment with other materials then wood. (Which was glasfiber and honeycomb or insulation foam as core material) And it turned out more difficult then expected. Not impossible though. The question i try to answer for myself is; if the cost of the desired material is worth the cost of using wood and the increase of weight? I loved your build video’s together with other van builders at that time, and I don’t have no intention to judge your van. But with my experience with wood, I highly doubt the quality of my end result, after a period of time. When the wood had the time to bend and twist due to humidity and temperature difference.
And please don’t give up your “vanlife” my child is almost 5 and she loves us renting campervans and going on trips. And all her classmates want to come along.

I will tell you, i am enjoying watching you as a father. As in most things you are good at it. But what it did remind me of was that you are unable to share your experances with your Opa. It made me go back to that video where you told us about his death. I forgot how powerful of a speaker you can me. And how preceptive you were about the comming months. A year latter and your words still have power to speak to me… Thanks for all your do and built.

i’m curious whether that van is specifically for cold weather only or if can be livable in hot desert climates or hot and humid areas. thanks for sharing van life.
It can do both. I wouldn’t go a dark colour if I planned to use it in hot areas the majority of the time
