This song always brings me back to being 7 years old. We had just moved into our new house out in the country. We were still getting used to it, it was always so dark out, and it scared me. But I remember my older brother Josh playing the game, and hearing this and bossa Nova, it just filled me with this overwhelming sense of comfort and happiness that i feel like I'm always trying to recapture. It was oddly one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Yeah, I know I'm just some random guy, and this memory wouldn't matter to anyone but me, but I felt like sharing that.
This brings me back to when I was 11, being on winterbreak sitting in my house and my Grandma cooking us some sopita de fideo for lunch😔. I miss those days
I don t know how much i cryied yesterday when i heard this soundtrack. I remember all my childhood in a second when i played DK2 i think it s about 20 years ago. Nostalgy is strange like all life...
It's insane how I only played the first DKC growing up in the 90s, just finished this masterpiece the other day for the first time, and this soundtrack was incredible. Was a whole different experience.
I feel like lately I haven't been feeling the same emotions I used to, maybe it's been happening for years or maybe I'm just growing up. I feel myself losing the energy to "force" emotions, trying to understand what makes people emotional, what makes me emotional, I just want to let the things I care about be what they are, and let that memory speak for itself. There's something about this song, which despite being so beloved and popular, feels special to me. I can feel everything when I listen to this, the struggles David Wise had to go through to get the SNES to make this sound, the devs' hard work to make DKC the groundbreaking reality it was, and the trial and error as you die to the thorns on the path in this level so many goddamn times. None of that is forced, or emotional because of the beauty of life or anything, it's just what it is, it's a memory that this song encapsulates. I used to think this was just a beautiful piece of music, but every time I think of it and come back to it, it singlehandedly makes me tear up without a word to describe it. There's nothing forced about it, tears just kind of come out, it's not about being proud that I can still feel that or, or that this piece of music is so good that it made me feel that, I'm just happy that it is what it is, and nothing has tarnished that for as long as I can remember. I'm just writing this, despite being a social recluse even on the internet, maybe as a "checkpoint", just to say I'm glad this song is what it is. Glad David Wise was the genius who composed it, glad there's no cynicism that comes with adulthood or nostalgia googles that come with childhood that make me care about this song. It's just a genuine work of art that inspires me to keep on living.
This soundtrack means so much to me and my generation. Coming home from school and playing it on co-op mode with my brother. I always used to play this level on repeat, not only cus it was a good level but this soundtrack man. Memories man 🙈 yeah you can play it on the emulator but it's not the same
I played this game so much as a kid. And this song in particular used to make me feel depressed, anytime I'd hear it. I remember the level towards the end of the game when you play as Sqwuaks (However you spell it) and thinking what a bummer it all was. Still an amazing song, but yeah.

This theme makes me share a tear
such a beautiful track. thank you David Wise.

It’s almost 2024
I've finaly found it, this has been in my head for years. Brings back so much, thank you.
the best song on the game. one of the best of all time songs to be in a game.
it's beautiful
Ahhh the feels glad I was born around this time
still loving this song
When I was a kid playing this level I thought, I want this to be the song at my funeral, now that I'm dead, I can hear it all the time.
I highly advise you retake elementary school grammar with that atrocious garbage you spewed.
Masterpiece! Obra prima!
Nostalgia brought me here.
It’s so peaceful and nostalgic 😌
Excellent save/flag point
Memories man 🙈 yeah you can play it on the emulator but it's not the same
This and forest interlude are my 2 favorite video game songs ever. Period.
Aquatic Ambience and Life in the Mines too ;)
What about the hoodstompers theme, piston hondo's theme?
same
This track will always be legendary
Truly a MASTERPIECE. And what an amazing game too. 💜
this track is really epic...missing the good old times
I played this game so much as a kid. And this song in particular used to make me feel depressed, anytime I'd hear it. I remember the level towards the end of the game when you play as Sqwuaks (However you spell it) and thinking what a bummer it all was. Still an amazing song, but yeah.
Memories... good memories...
The wind is sweeping life energy...
Nympha has spawned!
Huh? BCW players here?
Sinto vontade de chorar ouvindo essa música....
1995, I was only a 11 year old kid with no worries in my Life...all things were so simple....miss those days...
It's outrageous how hard the soundtrack for this game slaps
Never played this game before. Already love this song
This amazing song makes me remember my childhood and a lot of good things when I was a little kid.
Makes me remember my grandmother too, I miss her so much and today she lives in heaven with God ='(
Bruno Moreira da Rosa with Harambe slso
Simply Beautiful. Bramble Scramble was hard as as all get out, but damn I could listen to Stickerbrush Symphony all day long.
DK Country music and Metroid Prime Trilogy music have some kind of vibe in common.
This makes me think of daydreaming during summer holiday from school. Just watching the clouds in the backyard...
