The app is called TV CAST and their official website is: video-tv-cast.com/lg-smart-tv/.
This app lets you cast any video from any website, using the built in web browser and stream the video/movie directly to you TV and it does it fast. No constant loading and hanging it just works really well. You can also cast videos from your camera roll directly to your Smart TV.

I can't believe its so complicated to cast video on a LG TV! I own both Philps Smart TV and LG TV. With my Philips TV (android) its easy! If I'm watching a video on youtube on my iPhone its enough to click on the cast icon on youtube and boom its done! RUclips is on the TV!
You can do that on LG TV as well
Jenna May I’ve tried many times but without results. With Philips it was easy and without doing any particular settings on the tv.

I have an Lg tv and the same thing hdmi ports are broken and now out of warranty but this app doesn’t work very well it takes forever to buffer ! Any other suggestions my tv is 2013 model picture etc is perfect don’t want to pay for another tv

Yes, the whole point of this app is to allow you to cast to your screen using their APP, especially if you do not have any other way of doing it.

Press the cast Icon in the top right corner of the iOS/Android app and click "disconnect". The companion app on your tv will stop. Now start the companion app on the other TV and enter the IP address shown when you click on the cast Icon in the top right corner of the iOS/Android app again.

I belive you get your TV remote and you press the up and down keys to match the IP as shown in your phone
I downloaded the app but it will only let me stream phone files not youtube videos, maybe it's bc it's the free version
you can just connect your tv to your wifi, open youtube on your phone and you will see a sign basically and you just click on it and you should open yt on ur tv

Johnathan Yang for me I just pressed ‘ok’ on my remote.
Just press the OK or ENTER button on your remote. Unfortunately all TV manufacturers have different symbols for the OK button on there remotes, but normally it is the button centered between up/down/left/right.

The main step is the IP address, make sure you match them.

This app works but casting movies and things it lags very far behind. The sound is way behind the picture if that makes sense. Lips don’t sync.
It was working fine until Verizon FiOS started blocking it..
Verizon are horrible for doing that.

Did you really put a piece of paper on your tv to hide your local ip address (which can only be accessed by you on your own network) ?
Garbage 🗑 if you want to watch a video that’s not on RUclips Their sales ads keep popping up and won’t allow the video to play
what a complicated affair to just play the video. why dint LG build a Airplay like or Chrome Cast like feature into the TV. so any video content from any app can be played just by casting it. The app shown in this is not necessary you can just install the LG TV Plus. I installed this TV Cast APP but it still cannot play video from any APP the TV Cast plays the video only from store videos on the apple or android device. Useless integration, no wonder companies can never compete with Apple, cannot wait to get a real TV from Apple or Google.

Why did you cover your IP you dingus? It’s only your LAN IP, not your WAN IP.
