No, it is possible. It is not likely to happen. A quick Google search turns up that it should happen about once every 400 billion years, give or take. At least in our solar system. Best estimates place the age of our universe at around 14 billion years, and that our sun will burn out in another 7 or 8 billion. Without doing a lot of math, it's impossible to say if such an alignment has happened before, or if it will happen before the Sun dies. Given that our solar system is about 4.5 billion years old already... Our solar system should have a total lifespan of about 12 billion years, such a convergence occurs once every 400 billion as things currently stand, so... About a 3% chance of it ever happening. @@AkinReacts like how the lion turtles could bend a person's energy to grant the power of the elements, which was a method passed on to Aang in ATLA to help him defeat the firelord. It was also passed from Aang to Korra in the finale of season 1 to restore her bending, and allow her to restore the bending of the others who were blocked by Amon. ✌️
@@AkinReacts if I remember correctly (hopefully I do 😂) I think the lion turtle in ATLA described it to Aang as "... To bend another's energy..." and so it's reffered to as energy bending, which I guess allows it to fall under the "elements" 🤷♀️
She had to know her deepest history of her birth because both wan and raava were trying to warn her about harmonic convergence coming so she can get it together and be prepared. Oh just so you know raava is actually the avatar spirit, the foundation (avatar state) if something bad happens to her. Kiss all of avatar goodbye
Avatar’s lore is based partially on ancient Chinese folklore and beliefs. It was the Chinese who spoke of the four elements in the real world thousands of years ago and the subsequent creation of every other thing from some combination of those four. There aren’t more than four elements because this was established a long time ago in reality. Any other thing is made from those four in the lore
Oh also this is sort of a silly comment lol but I noticed after I watched these episodes a few times; at that point where he’s negotiating with the lionturtle, it makes the comment that no human has ever held two elements at the same time, so Raava has to hold the power FOR him until he masters it? lol I wonder if that’s why the Avatar has only been shown bending more than 2 elements simultaneously is when they’re in the Avatar State. Raava got the whole catalogue of elements ready riding shotgun lol Lol it’s funny to picture though like if after Harmonic Convergence, Raava is truly just like manically rouletting the different elements through her spirit like a light speed carousel to give to her physical host when she’s not suffusing their body lol
Fun theory: when aang disappeared. Wans lemur spirit friend gave up his immorality to be incarnated as Momo. Which is why Momo was waiting for Aang in the southern air temple for his return.
This episode explained so much for me when I first watched it. Thousands of reincarnations and I always wondered how and why they were so innately ‘good’. Humans are fundamentally flawed creatures, it was unbelievable that not a single avatar was tempted by greed and power. In their circumstances, they were born with the spirit of raava, whose sole purpose was to bring balance against vaatu, good vs evil. It would make sense why every avatar is inherently driven with the desire to bring balance to the world and has a strong sense of justice.
This episode heavily suggests that anyone can obtain multiple elements via Spirit Bending. It requires strong discipline and a powerful being to imbue it, but neither of those are too big of an obstacle to overcome. Technically, with the knowledge given to them by the Lion Turtle from the AtlA finale, Aang and Korra could figure out how to do it.
No no. You didnt pay attention to the episodes. A human cant hold more then 2 elements or they will die. Raava litteraly said she will hold the elements for wan. Look. Wan cant use more then 1 element. Because he himself cant hold more. When wan uses fire but he needs earth, raava goes through him to give him the power of earth. But he cant use fire anymore. He can use all the 4 elements at the same time when raava is inside him. But it could still damage him very much. Its untill she connects with him at that spirit beam that wan can use the 4 elements whenever he wants without damage
@@kc_h7h If that's the case the show did a poor job explaining it. We're only told "Raava will hold it until you mastered the previous element" with no mention of him losing that on activation of the next one. They don't say that no human *can* hold multiple elements ever, just that no one has done it before. And while we never see Wan use more than one element outside the avatar state, we see him use different elements in different situations - which could either be interpreted as him swapping back and forth a lot, or just him defaulting to one element in specific situations as Aang had a habit of doing as well. Even after multiple re-watches I never got the idea that they were implying he lost the other element until you mentioned it. They're usually pretty vocal about things like that...
@@SKy_the_Thunder but you can litteraly see it happening tho. Everytime wan switches to a element raava goes through him. But he doesn't use the previous element he used or a other The show didnt really explained it but they showed it. I think thats cooler because the viewer has to observe to understand the story instead of getting babied the whole time. And i dont think it really needs a explanation if you can litteraly see it happening. Its like when you litteraly see wan use fire but you demand a direct explanation if wan really uses fire. But i am not surprised that many people wouldn't catch that and it would create huge confusion in the world lore So yea i agree with you they should have explained it because this is not a minor detail. Its a huge detail that if its get missed then people would be confused about the lore
@@kc_h7h We see him try out the new element once she gives it to him (as anyone would), but we never stick around long enough to get any indication that he can't use the previous one anymore. Like, yeah he would instantly try to use earth bending, whether he swapped out the previous element for it or he got it in addition. And then in the next scene he just goes back to air as if he always had it, no switch implied. I don't really think we're shown that he loses the other elements, just that he gains new ones. And without any hint that that's the case, it's not really an easy conclusion to arrive at with what little we're shown.
@@SKy_the_Thunder i have to disagree. Especially in the final fight we see it happen many times Like when he only used fire against vaatu and then he scream "RAAVA" and then she goes through him and then he only uses air and not fire anymore. Ever wondered when she goes through him he doesnt use the element that he continuously used before she went through him? then when she goes through him again he can only use earth and so on forth. But when he says we need to combine our power only then we see him use the elements at the same time without raava going through him I understand when its vague in the journey before the fight. But in the fight itself you should have a grasp of what they are trying to show But i dont blame you for it because its not a certainty that every single viewer would catch that detail. So again i agree with you they should have explained it
7:13 I think Raava didn't "hug" Vaatu again there because he is to big and strong at that point and would easily break free. The balance between them has been broken by Wan.
you’ve actually seen other elements in avatar the last airbender. it’s spirit bending. or energy bending. aang used it on ozai and soon korra has used it innige first season. but later it’s gonna be more advanced
Hey if you guys have great reactions. Did you know that when he battles Vaatu he's wearing something from each nation/element? He has a blue sash (water), red scarf (fire, bandages on his wrists (earth) and a orange/brown cloathing (air). If youve never seen it please consider watching Yu Yu Hakusho, its a great classic anime.
I think some Asian "elemental" systems separate out wood and metal as their own elements, but I am not sure about that. Of course it is all arbitrary, so in a system like this one could assign tofu as its own element. But the canonical four are what I hear most about.
Not eclipse. Eclipse is when the moon covers the sun or the earth covers the moon in its shadow. Harmonic convergence for them is when all the planet align
I see so many people giving fun facts and here is mine: Dark side of the yin and yang actually represents fimininity, negativity etc. And the light side represents masculinity, positivity etc. Have a good day...
@Lee Brown let’s be objective and not brutally one sided . It’s a kids show with adult subjects being covered . In a seriousness wan was coerced by a demonic evil spirit into doing his bidding . How do you show that to a child audience in less than an episode ? The simplest, easiest, cheapest way to do it , is the way they did . But wan made it clear he was tricked . Not that he felt some extreme sympathy. Secondly closing the portals started a new age of the world . It did not ruin the balance . Rava became the new way to keep balance . during the time that both portals were open, the balance keepers were the link turtles . They would attempt to keep balance by giving humans super human abilities to protect themselves against harmful or aggressive spirits in areas they needed to go to retrieve things … And it was a constant battle to keep balance. You’re ignorantly biased if you feel before wan closed the portals the world was perfectly balanced . It was not 💀 wan did not ruin the worlds balance he introduced a new way to keep it balanced . And that is the age of the avatar. Also clearly mentioned in the show . By a lion turtle Wan is by no means perfect but wan is a better version of what Korra’s character model was supposed to be. A good contrast to aang . But they made Korra ignorantly aggressive. So much unlike aang she is borderline a bully . Feeling she can do whatever she wants cus she’s the avatar . And they made her so tunnel vision , compared to aang who always saw situations from multiple perspectives . Her tunnel vision literally created the threat we see in the show . She is ignorantly and stupidly ( like I said ) created . Even aang at 12 had enough sense to know. World does not spin on your clock. But Korra at like 17 under the teaching of katara most her life and soon aang’s own son struggles to realize that. And it’s annoying they created her to be this headstrong . I think it’s one of the few things in this serious that’s bad writing . Because I do think avatar is a great show . But saying “ she’s supposed to contrast aang “ is a cop out

As a person that watched so many complex shows, I really think these are the worst. Imo the writing is not good and the decisions been made are wrong. A lot of people like this and the last episode, but I do not. @@Goliath1337 yeah but Wan specifically is the only one that we know of who had to do it within one year.
@@mathies3598 Yes but Wan didnt exist when they made that episode so he didnt refer to him but all the other avatars combined.
@@stefankatsarov5806 just because the writers didn't porposefully mean that at the time doesn't mean it isn't retroactively true. This is how good "retcons" are done. You add context to a purposely vague line that was previously said. The Wan thing still happened in canon before Roku. He should be aware of it.
you know how they say behind every good man is a great woman...cuz even the avatar got a "female" spirit backing him😭
Technically there are 5 elements. Fire, earth, air, water and Energy. ✌️
Energy?🤔
@@johanluisrivas8016 I know, but in order for the elements to come from energy, energy itself has to be almost elemental.
Yup, those villagers that left where Wann is from is pretty much the birth of the Fire Nation. They been violent since day 1 lmao😭😂
So basically, being the avatar is an eternal punishment and a curse.
And when you die your soul gets trapped into a spirit and you cant rest in peace for all eternity
@@kc_h7h That's Wan Karma for breaking Nature's balence. Raava and Vaatu should never be separated
@@AlehGea And that is what Unalaq meant with "The Avatar has to stay neutral"
Hearing the Avatar theme when Wan enters in the avatar state is always so dope
Avatar’s lore is based partially on ancient Chinese folklore and beliefs. It was the Chinese who spoke of the four elements in the real world thousands of years ago and the subsequent creation of every other thing from some combination of those four. There aren’t more than four elements because this was established a long time ago in reality. Any other thing is made from those four in the lore
They said it happens every 10,000 years
Raava IS the avatar state
Oh also this is sort of a silly comment lol but I noticed after I watched these episodes a few times; at that point where he’s negotiating with the lionturtle, it makes the comment that no human has ever held two elements at the same time, so Raava has to hold the power FOR him until he masters it? lol I wonder if that’s why the Avatar has only been shown bending more than 2 elements simultaneously is when they’re in the Avatar State. Raava got the whole catalogue of elements ready riding shotgun lol
Lol it’s funny to picture though like if after Harmonic Convergence, Raava is truly just like manically rouletting the different elements through her spirit like a light speed carousel to give to her physical host when she’s not suffusing their body lol
I cant wait for season 3 reactoin is my favorite season
damn... your channel is on the same episode with Aege&Chill (who started LOK 7 months ago)...... that's wild
I wasn't sure on which one see first xD
it looks like the avatar wan has no opposing elements to his personality and his character
Oh, I know what I’m doing when I get home from work tonight!!!
In the Chinese element system there is also wood. Imagine having wood bending
Earth, water, wind, fire, heart! The fifth element is heart. hahaha
Fun theory: when aang disappeared. Wans lemur spirit friend gave up his immorality to be incarnated as Momo. Which is why Momo was waiting for Aang in the southern air temple for his return.
Raava doesn't choose who's the next person. She goes into the person who is the next Wan's life.
In therms of another element, you can say energy bending is another bending for another element.
9:17 I think it happens every 10000 years.
The Harmonic Convergence happens every 10 thousand years
This episode heavily suggests that anyone can obtain multiple elements via Spirit Bending.
But he doesn't use the previous element he used or a other
The show didnt really explained it but they showed it. I think thats cooler because the viewer has to observe to understand the story instead of getting babied the whole time. And i dont think it really needs a explanation if you can litteraly see it happening. Its like when you litteraly see wan use fire but you demand a direct explanation if wan really uses fire.
But i am not surprised that many people wouldn't catch that and it would create huge confusion in the world lore
So yea i agree with you they should have explained it because this is not a minor detail.
Especially in the final fight we see it happen many times
Like when he only used fire against vaatu and then he scream "RAAVA" and then she goes through him and then he only uses air and not fire anymore. Ever wondered when she goes through him he doesnt use the element that he continuously used before she went through him? then when she goes through him again he can only use earth and so on forth.
But when he says we need to combine our power only then we see him use the elements at the same time without raava going through him
I understand when its vague in the journey before the fight. But in the fight itself you should have a grasp of what they are trying to show
But i dont blame you for it because its not a certainty that every single viewer would catch that detail.
It's not really another element though.
3:48 like…. Energy
Alot of Avatars dont know bout Raava
Yep only Kuruk
Hey if you guys have great reactions. Did you know that when he battles Vaatu he's wearing something from each nation/element? He has a blue sash (water), red scarf (fire, bandages on his wrists (earth) and a orange/brown cloathing (air).
If youve never seen it please consider watching Yu Yu Hakusho, its a great classic anime.
Fun fact:Aang had Wan's strategy while ozai in the avatar state.
21:52 a real life fact
Wood can be another element
True
@@AkinReacts Ok
I think some Asian "elemental" systems separate out wood and metal as their own elements, but I am not sure about that. Of course it is all arbitrary, so in a system like this one could assign tofu as its own element. But the canonical four are what I hear most about.
Korra never saw or spoke to a Lion Turtle btw let alone learned energy bending from one
Akin lookin sleepy
I haven't even started this anime yet ngl
Its not anime. Basically its sort of a anime but its a western take of it
Not eclipse.
Eclipse is when the moon covers the sun or the earth covers the moon in its shadow.
Harmonic convergence for them is when all the planet align
Technically, the planets are eclipsing each other, so lot a lunar(moon) eclipse, but still an eclipse but it def not the best way to decribe it

I see so many people giving fun facts and here is mine:
Dark side of the yin and yang actually represents fimininity, negativity etc. And the light side represents masculinity, positivity etc.

When are u guys reaction to another Harry Potter movie?
We’re trying to find a time we’re we’re all free to watch a 3 hour movie, but we’ll try our best
bruh i just noticed this raava is female and vaatu is male (well based on their vocals) legend of korra out here saying men are the root of all evil😭
except the lion turtles as also male
@@caffeinecleanser1748 first avatar too
wan is what korra was supposed to be . Hard headed but not ignorant. Aggressive, but not stupid
By a lion turtle
Wan is by no means perfect but wan is a better version of what Korra’s character model was supposed to be.

Yes I know there are so many people loving these episodes and thinking these as saviors of S2 and some think that these are the best episodes of whole show. As a person that watched so many complex shows, I really think these are the worst. Imo the writing is not good and the decisions been made are wrong. Before comparing what is shown with ATLA, I think it's even contradicts with itself and does a bad job of interpreting yin and yang. If creators had more time, I'm sure that there would be completely different story than that.
A lot of people like this and the last episode, but I do not. I don't like that the Avatar cycle isn't a natural part of the world but is just a mutation thing between a human jerk and a spirit jerk and that humans didn't learn bending from the places they said in the last series. It takes the mystique of the Avatar and bending and makes it boring. The crap about humans being warlike because they don't like the spirits who trapped them on lion-turtles is just extra crap.
The lion turtle gave them bending, didn't teach them shit
Are you blind? What you think wan was doing with that dragon for 2 years?
