I wrote a comment awhile back about my LOVE for Pete🙏 Haycock and Mr. Holt👍, AND got a personal thank you from Mr. Holt!?!🙉 I'm 62 and fell out my tree!!!🤯🤣 I showed ALL my older buddy musician/mentors and they LOVED it! 💯💙 Great show🥳🥂 and God bless. 🙏
Having played with Derek many times over the years I'll always remember the first time... it felt like he was sitting at the kit beside me, and thereafter it just got better.....a very rare feeling .
Really interesting to hear Derek’s stories, although it’s a shame his bandmates scuppered their chances of having a hit with “I Love You” in the States. I was lucky enough to see them a few times in the early ‘80s - always great live :)
Loved this interview! Derek is a true treasure and as much as I’ve always loved the CBB, it really was shitty and a shame the way you were treated after writing that most excellent song! Jealousy’s a bad thing… Keep rockin’ Derek!!
Wow! I watched the whole 81 minutes and 4 seconds of that interview and it was BRILLIANT! I loved hearing all of the amazing stories and experiences that Derek had! What a great life! So the thing that brought me here, is that I'm learning how to play, I Love You, on the guitar (which I've played the guitar for 55 years), because my wife and I are going to be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary next year. (2024) We are planning to have a big party and I want to surprise her by playing and singing that song to her because the words fit our love so perfectly. SUCH a beautiful song and I'm hoping that I will be able to pull it off! Bless you Derek and listen, there's a theater in St. Charles, Illinois that is about 30 miles straight west of Chicago called Arcada, that has a lot of the BEST classic bands/artists play, and I would love to see you play there! Rock on brother!
CBB music was part of my teenage years and beyond (love that middle part on "Standing By a River"...). Thanks a lot, Mr. Holt!
FM Live, one of the best live albums ever. Saw them with Wishbone Ash in 1974- what an incredible night.
Great interview with the one and only!!!! Derek Holt made that band! Big shout out to you Derek!
Good interview! Stumbled on my favourite song by CBB, ‘I Love You’, which I hadn’t heard in ages and then this interview popped up. Glad I caught it🎶

Wow I love this! What a great guy and a wonderful musician!
Couldn’t agree more. The song” I love you” is one of the best love songs written and performed in the rock era
Great interview with Derek 😊

He was/is a hell of a bass player.
Lot of great stories! Thanks to both of you for taking the time. Hope the season in Mallorca goes great, Derek.
