      @psk5896 4 года назад +4

      In your opinion is the LT 25 better than Mustang 1 v2 in terms of tone alone (not which has more effects)
      Because both of them are a pretty solid beginner or bedroom amp
      The LT25 is more expensive because duh more watt output but would you say LT25 > Mustang 1 based on tone alone

    • @fender
      @fender  5 лет назад +16

      Are you running the Mustang GT 2.0 firmware? Make sure your amp is up to date by following this video: ruclips.net/video/ebihSq0MNbY/видео.html

    • @ferdifloyd4497
      @ferdifloyd4497 5 лет назад +11

      Fender Yes I am running the 2.0 Firmware and most of the amp models sound better now. But the high gain models (e.g. Metal 2000 and American 90s) need some improvement. The "3D-sound" is missing when you know what I mean. They sound like coming out of a HI-FI system.
      But all in all the 2.0 update improved the overall sound a lot and the new effects are great!

    My wife got me a Gretsch Streamliner G 2420 T a couple months ago. I've only been playing 18 months, upgrading from the cheap store brand to a Fender dreadnought, then the Fender Concert acoustic electric, which works fine on that same store brand kit amp, but that Gretsch hollow body sound was what I was looking for in an electric. I was so excited to play my new guitar once I got home (I'm a truck driver), and nothing. I thought there was a problem with the guitar until I turned all the volumes to full. The Streamliners come with pickups that are low output. So, off to Guitar Center we went. I told the salesman the issue and he pointed out the Maverick LT 25 and another one at the same level. The other one was slightly less in price, but I figured since Fender made the Gretsch, it was unlikely I was going to have to return it. I got home, hooked it up, and blew my eardrums out not realizing 60% volume was small auditorium level, not sitting next to it in the living room.
    It's a really nice amp and a great value for all you get. It has most of the effects I would have had to get a pedal for. It's roughly 50% more in cost than a cheap 5 watt, slightly bigger, but well worth it.

  • @arthurdrack30

    Got the 50XL and Late answer but maybe still useful. I ve been playing around with this amp for a few months , I got it 2nd hand 150 US to give a rest to my main valve amps mostly on small underpaid gigs. I have worked a lot in my tone so I get my personal tone with 3 carefully selected stompboxes plus crunched 15 watts valve amp. Totally satisfied and easy to use, killer tone for rehersals, small and mid sized venues and mic’ed for big stages. Fender XL stands in great just selecting 2nd Channel Opt 5 (Fender Crunch 2 -Princeton 65 ) with Gain at noon. 30 years playing so I dig it almost in automatic to get this settings. I barely tested any other sound out from the amp.
    Unfortunately, this weekend I forgot my pedalboard’s power source and my only option was to go direct to the amp. I had a the most hard time dialing knobs and I was never able to get a decent tone out of it. Too bassy, even at Zero Bass settings. It is not that I missed Mids control, I got clear that lowing Treble and Bass you get more Mids but harsh and muddy at same time. Hated it. I understand bad reviews about it now.
    Great platform for pedals in some Amp Modeling options (mostly in Clean and Crunch low gain) such as any Fender , plenty of power for gigging, light and nice looking amp but totaly undependable in raw (no pedals).
    I understand Fender’s selling point for newbies or room players, cheap amp, cheap modeling/effects(new generation , so still fairly good). Clearly far from pro-requirements but a nice , light and low budget option for gigging musicians looking for a Pedalboard platform -workhorse.

    My hat is off to anyone who playsys guitar period!!...so with saying that, it's funning seeing someone try to play metal that you know doesn't play metal at all. People always try and put down metal as a genre that is lacking in the talent department. Metal music, good metal music is extremely hard to compose and play!!! It's just not noise!! People who say that, merely can not comprehend what is going on. Most can only comprehend so many beats per minute, that's why it does sound like a wall of noise to them.

But is Fender amps any good? When i was young it was Randall, Roland, Marshall and later VOX and Orange became popular. Angus has/had a JTM45. Is not Marshall the best anymore? On guitar, Fender has begun to be sloppy imo. Alot of factory errors on many of the new guitars. mine is a 2023 and the plectrum plate dented out on two sides... I will never buy another Fender amp, Fender should be more up to date than what they are. They are allowing all these other companies to come in and give you better equipment and benefit options for less. Fender it's sad when they're still using the old type USB and you can't download tones like Positive Grid Sparks amps...

    What I don't understand is why you can't make your new amps sound as good as the old 64-65 blackface amps.?
    I wouldn't waste my money on your new amps or guitars. As far as I'm concerned all your new gear is crap.

    Always makes me laugh seeing non metal guitarists trying to demo metal tones. Valiant effort tho, Keep trying lol.

      Dylan Gruenloh i have a fender champion 100, i can get great metal tones, They make great amps otherwise. I think focusing on the individual kinds of music like metal, country, blues and jazz with musicians experienced in those fields could really help that kid out there looking for THAT kind of amp have a better idea of what fender has to offer. the guys a decent guitarist, not trying to cast any shade here, just a thought.

      Totally agree. Fucking "coffee shop, eclectic" hipsters in this video. If you're going to truly sell these amps metal capabilities, play some meaty riffs. Not weird jazzy, bluesy bullshit.

    These all sound sterile, just too flat. Maybe get a studio musician who could better demonstrate styles rather than some Indie atmospheric player trying to fake the demo patch titles.
