I have a question, what happens if I scan an amiibo from the Smash Bros Ultimate series that has not installed its DLC? For example, I don't have Joker in my game because I didn't buy him to install in my Smash Bros Ultimate game, what happens if I scan his Joker amiibo in the in-game amiibo section.
Don't quote me on this as my memory may be a bit fuzzy and this was on smash wii u so I'm not sure about ultimate but I'm pretty sure you don't need the dlc to scan the amiibo. It already costs money for the amiibo so I doubt you'd need to pay even more
