Definitely the Touran for me, I'm ordering another this weekend it just has the right mix plenty of room for rear passengers (2nd row) and with the 3rd row down you have plenty of boot space for getaways and of course you have the added luxury of getting two more passengers in for short journeys like going out to a restaurant!
Thomas, 110% agree with you, Touran is the more balanced car in price and quality.

Just a very short note
I have a Ford Focus (Classic 2) and, as comparison, the Ford C-Max is about the same except the height. The boot (or luggage space) is not extraordinary, it is acceptable, and it is the same for both cars. I don' t know if for C-Max they offer a full spare wheel which fits in the boot as I have in my Focus.
Basically, for me, the C-Max is a taller Focus (superficial comparison).
I fully agree with everything you said about C-Max except for the luggage space - thank you for the review, very interesting and very well done.
The Grand C-Max is a different story, it is sensibly bigger.

I just hope the engine is ok . I drove the 1.6 tdi Manual in the passat and it was good enough for my taste

@@maryshmatsina6816 Hi, it is a great family car, comfortable, relatively quiet, that means long trips are realy relaxing compared whith my older cars.The engine is also very refined for a disel ,barely noticeble and in combination with the 7 speed dsg perfect. Of course the 2 liter will give you more punch but it also cost more .
We have full option on our car ,the panorama roof is amazing, and also the best option are the LED Headlights(with the assistent) , is a muss ,also the backup camera is great
Didnt have any problems until now with the car, also, If your looking for maximum comfort get the adaptive Suspension and the 16 inch rims. We got 17 in Sommer and 16 Winter, whith the 16 and the comfort Modus on the Suspension is amazing how comfortable It can get .Greetings from Austria

The VW Touran is much more expensive compared to the Ford C-Max even in Grand version, isn't it? Or at least it is now. IMO the Touran is not that much better to explain the minimum 5K extra price.

Hello, i have I have the possibility to get a company car (for around 30-33t euro)... and I am thinking about S-Max, Touran and Superb. Diesel engine 2.0, 150 kW.
I like higher seating and from the comfort and design point of view i like S-Max. Regarding at size from exterior, practicality and Infotainment (Appconnect) i would prefer Touran. And Superb is nice looking, lot of features in that price. What would you choose ? Thanx
All 3 are good cars. If u have 2 kids, take the touran, if not, take the superb

Interesting tests; I went for the C-max, but the older just-superseded version and got 1/3 off a new model that was sitting in my dealer showroom in May. At the price I paid, it was unbeatable value for money and the handling is great (most of my driving is done with just me on board). VW is very nice but just too expensive especially with no discount as it is a new model

@@cx8397 I had C-Max, not Grand C-Max. I leased it on a PCP and changed it before the 2 year deal was up. I was getting ready to buy it at the end of the PCP but the dealer offered me a better deal on another new Ford instead. In 22 months and about 18,000 miles I had no faults or failures. The biggest problem was that the car was white and showed the dirt so easily that in winter I was washing it every day. The paint itself was tough, probably the best paint I have had on any car I have owned. EDIT: I had the car from May 2015 until March 2017

My mom has a ‘15 B class (B200) and it’s a very practical car! Interior space is a bit lacking though because our B class is RWD
There is no Rear wheel drive of the mercedes.

Aber ich würde es besser finden wenn Ihr hier z.B. 3 getrennte Videos, also für jedes Auto einzeln ein Video macht und dann nochmals ein kurzes um die 5 Minuten in dem Ihr die Autos kurz und knackig vergleicht.
Das würde es den Leuten die sich nur für eines der Autos interessieren oder vielleicht sogar eines deiner getesteten Autos mit einem komplett anderen vergleichen wollen einfacher machen.
Ebenfalls wäre dies etwas übersichtlicher und würde auch mehr Klicks generieren, da einfach mehr Videos vorhanden sind auf die sich die Zuschauer verteilen können.

I wanna buy one of these models just because i cant sit in a Berlin car for a long journeys and they are cheap compared to SUVs which have similar seats dimensions
But still SUVs are better and more expensive choice ☹️

My favourite type of car, which is why I still have a SEAT Altea after 10 1/2 years! I've looked at all of these. Golf SV is too dull. And I don't know in Germany, but in the UK the B-Class ergonomics are awful. The steering wheel is offset and the centre dashboard was never redone for right hand drive and tilts away from the driver. Awful for a supposed "premium" brand. I have already decided what I will buy when my Altea dies, a BMW Active Tourer. The only BMW I have ever liked. And unlike Mercedes, they did a proper conversion to right hand drive! PS, what is with the massage chair in the SV? We don't get that in the UK! Thanks for nothing VW :-)
Have one altea also, from 03-2005 so is 10 1/2 years also hehehehe i think the BMW is to expensive comparing with this ones and dont offer nothing more. My opinion of course, says a guy that love the new espace :)
Fellow Altea owner! :-) I've loved it. So sad SEAT are not replacing it. Strange decision when it actually sold well for them. Yes, the Active Tourer is much too expensive. But it gives me some luxuries that are missing on the Altea. And if I get another 10 years out of it, not bad value for money. Will miss the nice cheap VW Group replacement parts though!
