    Imagine what photo ops at a convention would be like if fans could get a picture with both JDF and ASJ at the same time. It would be legendary. I get what ASJ says about the slandering he's taken over the years from JDF. I've seen JDF blast about ASJ verbally at conventions and on social media, so it is real. I usually see ASJ just keep quiet about it, so something must have fired him up to finally say something in this interview. Eventually though, I wish these two guys could just shake hands and let go of it all. They were great on screen together, and so many fans would love to see them both simultaneously in person at conventions.

    Haim Saban should be treating the Power Rangers actors and actresses with respect. He should realize that he made his billions because of the actors, actresses that participated in the series that helped make it popular for the whole world. It's very disgusting for an Employer to treat actors, actresses as expendables. They have contributed so much for the show and should be compensated well. What Austin says in this panel about treating people nicely is very important and I feel lately we are not seeing that in today's world. I can see why Power Rangers actors, actresses are going to conventions because that's the source of getting their residuals because the re-runs on Jet-X with using the actors/actresses likeness means they have to be compensated. The show should be union where actors/actresses have safety net.

Walter creating a Hip Hop Kido video with Austin and Thuy appeared in with Thuy showing of her flexibility skills, Austin doing a Hip Hop Kido by mixing it with Martial Arts. Wow, I had no idea JDF played a major role in David and Amy Jo staying on PR. Personally, I'm glad they stayed because they were the ones who made the backend of MMPR enjoyable for me but it's sad that the cast was divided. The original five had such an amazing chemistry and were the foundation of PR.

    • @stael2173
      @stael2173 2 года назад +6

      It sounds like a lie to me to make JDF look bad. I've watched interviews from Amy Jo and David and they've been asked what they thought about the cast leaving, they both said they didn't really know what was going between them and Saban. Having Austin say that all 6 rangers agreed to walkout is pretty contradictory to the stories Amy Jo and David (as well as JDF) have told over the years.

    • @stephensmith8316
      @stephensmith8316 2 года назад +8

      I'm not sure that is a lie about what he said about JDF converting AJJ and David Yost. It kind of became evident in season 2 that ASJ, Walter, and Thuy were usually grouped together frequently before they quit the show. Watch a lot of power ranger convention videos and you'll see Steve, Johnny. Karen, AJJ, and David all tend to take a back seat to JDF in the videos and no one ever tends to oppose his stories or counter him. They act civil to each other, but it's kind of obvious JDF has a "look at me" personality and suffers from ADHD and tends to shoot off at the mouth a lot. I think AJJ and David just tolerate it whereas Austin and Walter don't. That's probably why they don't get along well.
      Plus. Being such a close knit cast, I'm sure AJJ and David were aware of what was going on with Thuy, ASJ, and Walter standing up to the lousy pay from Saban. Saban is known for exploiting actors and that never changed after the 3 of them quit the show.

    • @stael2173
      @stael2173 2 года назад +6

      @@stephensmith8316 Everything you said is speculation. I'm talking about actual statements from the actors themselves. The interviews I mentioned about with David Yost and Amy Jo were solo interviews, so there was nothing to oppose. If you don't want to believe anything that JDF says, fine, but Austin's story that all 6 rangers agreed at first is straight up contradictory to Amy Jo and David's solo interviews. Even when Walter talks about his version of events he never said that all of them agreed. Also I've seen multiple convention videos of JDF and Walter together and they look pretty friendly to me. Not sure where you got Walter not "tolerating" JDF from.

    • @stephensmith8316
      @stephensmith8316 2 года назад +7

      @@stael2173 Well, some of it may be speculation, but there is some truth in what I said. ASJ doesn't have any beef with David or Amy Jo, but they're not exactly close either. And Walter doesn't have any specific beef with JDF either. But those relationships aren't close either. At the new Power Rangers movie that came out a few years ago, Amy Jo even mentioned she hadn't seen Walter or ASJ in a few years before that. And Walter and ASJ have always been close friends even before MMPR. So it's easy to see where the line is drawn in the sand isn't? If ASJ and JDF had beef, Walter was going to side with ASJ. It's also not speculation that JDF was responsible for pulling crude pranks on the cast during his early years on the show and that JDF has ADHD, which in itself makes him a loud personality and hyper active. The elements are there. You can see it in the Morphicon event videos.
      And it's not speculation that Haim Saban is known for exploiting the actors in Power Rangers. That's why he doesn't hire union affiliated actors for his shows. Even the Screen Actors Guild filed complaints against Saban in the late 90's about building his fortune off of exploiting young actors.

    • @stael2173
      @stael2173 2 года назад +1

      @@stephensmith8316 I hear you bro, but I'm talking about actual first hand accounts of events from the actors themselves, your interpretation of their friendships is not relevant. Again, ASJs statements directly contradict earlier statements made by AJJ and DY on their own. How can they side with JDF if their own statements predate ASJs story? Not even Walters version of events mentions all the actors agreeing to side with them.
      So as to ASJ saying all the rangers agreed to join him, none of the other four rangers' accounts of events line up with this. While Walter does not contradict him, Walters does not support his either as Walter never mentions AJJ, JDF, or DY. However statements made by AJJ, DY, and JDF all contradict ASJs statement. Objectively going by the statements of everyone involved, ASJ looks very much like he's not telling the truth. I have no problem being wrong, but unless you have first hand accounts that actually support what ASJ said, the evidence points to him not being truthful.

Just seeing Austin reuniting with Jason the OG Green and White Ranger was a momentous occasion. Just seeing each Red Ranger getting their moment and the morphing sequence with all the Rangers was so good. It's so sad because after Austin, Walter, Thuy left they tried to make Rocky, Adam, Ashley into carbon copies of the original 3 actors not even allowing the new actors to be themselves. You can tell with the cut sleeves for Rocky where they tried to make him look like Jason which was like common seriously? I remember the episode with Power Transfer episode that looked so terrible because they spliced archive footage with body doubles and it looked atrocious. At least you could've brought the original 3 to film the episodes so that they can get some sort of closure, pass the torch to the new trio. I think during the first MMPR film Karen Ashley who played the second Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger said Haim Saban didn't even recognize her at the film's premiere which shows Saban doesn't value actors/actress's contribution to the show.

    A fun fan theory i heard and enjoyed was. The reason why Jason couldn't keep the gold ranger powers was because it was too strong. It was hurting him.
