Layer 407: The hairs on my right arm have gone stiff. I recall months ago when I began this journey, that twinkle in my eyes, a foolish innocence. Little did I know the upcoming journey would test not only my culinary skills, but my will. As weeks began to pass and the layers stacked higher and higher I pushed onward with every bit of energy I could muster.
I began to realize the layers of the cake were a metaphor, representing the lesson disguised in sweet decadence, the true meaning was 'to push on is to perservere, to give up is to lose all worth." With no end in sight I will truly find out who am I and what I'm capable of.

sonia severino i did her rainbow heart cookies xD it could've gone better but I made the mistake of not putting in the dough to set as often as I should've but then came out decent looking and tasted great!

Oh my god!!! First off, this video is beautifully edited and really gives excellent baking directions. But more importantly, I am SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS CAKE! This is ART. More than that, this cake is a FEAT OF ENGINEERING. It's SO CLEVER how you figured out the paper templates, and then applied them using powdered sugar! Even though I'm never going to make this cake (I don't have the patience!) that's an amazing and innovative technique that I'm totally going to try and find a way to use in some other kind of baked good that's maybe a little easier! :) Thank you so much for making this great video and sharing your lovely confection with the world.

Use whipped cream or a light frosting like Italian meringue then.
Those are "crepes" are also called Swedish pancakes.
It's a sweet dinner food (kid's favorite) had with various jams like strawberry, raspberry, blueberry... and my personal favorite "queensberry" jam, which is a 50/50 mix of blueberry and raspberry. Can also be had with whipped cream or icecream.
You typically make roll of your favorite filling, cut them in pieces and eat. Best served fresh out the pan before those crispy buttery edges soften.
(It's called queen's jam or queensberry jam because it was the favorite of one Queen Kristina hundreds of years ago.)

Eugenie, we only have to use the AP flour or we can use any kind of flour?
Crêpes aren't supposed to rise, so you can't use flour with baking soda or something else mixed in.

Watching your baking vlogs has a calming effect on me. Probably because it is methodical with a nice cool sax music in the background and with a gentle clanging of kitchen utensils. You just let your baking do all the talking not unlike the other baking videos I watched.
