This is why I don't like reduced ammo: it just gives your enemy a free win condition. There are benefits, but they are so tiny that they are almost never worth it.
I think is kinda funny you were a bit worried of being too protective of flash fires, considering that in the second battle that Poliwhirl did one of your ships did had a flash fire, i guess it just goes to show that you're right to be worried. It was a great battle, really close, if it haven't been for those mains being destroyed you might had been in trouble. Also, the AI seems to really like throwing your long range ships into close range, it happened in brosilly's video and again in Poliwhirl's.
Is this game PVE or PVP? I don't have constant periods to play PVP and I end up pausing a lot. tyvm! Looks interesting otherwise.. I've watched about 1/2 doz of your vids on it. 👍
1.6.0.2 needs 60% for a "crew loss" win. 1.6.0.3 is now up to 80% crew loss. I prefer accuracy over rate of fire in gunnery systems. The enemy might have 1 second reload, but he needs to fire 100 rounds at 3% accuracy to have the same statistical hit rate as your guns at 30% accuracy and 10 second reload.

With the armour on those turrets reduced ammo was over-kill for flashfire reduction. Ah well, still made it through and hindsight is 20/20.

80%? Wow they really buffed that stat
Crew surrender is 80% not 60%. At least it is on my campaign battles. It's annoying also they have started to put armour on the AI ships now.
