Besides Maholmes, these are the dudes that won the SB in the last 25 years: Stafford, Brady, Foles, P Manning, Wilson, Rodgers, E Manning, Flacco, Brees, Rothlesburger. B Johnson, Dilfer, Warner, Elway. NONE of them was the highest paid QB in the league when they won their championships. NONE.... There is a bigger list of QB's that made it to the SB or championship game but didn't win it. Dak had 8 years to prove he's the one....he's not.

So you're saying that Dak has to be in his 30's to be able to have half a chance to reach the SB with a stacked team around him which is handicapped by him taking 25% of the team salary cap? That's completely nonsensical. Dak's best chance for a championship season was in 2016, the year before last season, and last season.... He blew all 3 of those chances. After 8 years, he still can't read zone defenses, and panics in the pocket when he doesn't like what he sees. That's why he keeps throwing interceptions against good defenses that are able to fool and press him. The league has figured that out. It's mind boggling to me how Dak apologists refuse to see what's directly in front of him. I don't know of any other job where you get to not get it done for 8 straight years, and set the market in compensation. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing (pay him) over and over again and expect a different result.
What Stephen Jones said tells us a lot about his qualifications. Wouldn't you want people with business degrees in a business? Not the cowboys. They want their GM to have no idea what football talent is, a nepotistic hire of his son, who has an engineering degree, not a business degree. And a senior director of salary cap/player contracts, whose former job before working for the cowboys was corporate trainer/server for a restaurant. Multi Billion dollar organization run by couple of people who do not belong in football.

Remind me again how many interceptions Dak threw to GB. Oh yeah, 2. Those interceptions turned into 9 points for GB when Dak only took the Cowboys to 16 points in the first 3 quarters. Yeah, he deserves a good portion of the blame.
It was 21 -0 before throwing first pick which could've been a PI penalty. The second pick we are down & he the almost 60 times so picks well happen throwing that often & being one dimensional team with no run game.

Why are QB’s being paid so much money ? That’s what I don’t get. Yes, it’s the most important position in the NFL but they can’t win without help around then unless you are Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. Dak could take $40 and be happy for the rest of his life and the rest of the money could be used to help get talent around him.

Dallas scored enough points to win but the main problem is the defense couldn't slow down Green Bay if you look at the Super Bowl , the Kansas City Chiefs defense kept that game close enough so that Mahomes could work his magic. The defense cost us the last game. They allowed 41 points and didn't give the offense any time at all to make adjustments and figure things out. Anyone who knows football knows football is a team game and in order to have team success the TEAM must play as 1 unit. Offense Defense and Special Teams. If the cowboys were serious about winning a Superbowl they would have either signed Lamb or Micah or Dak to an extension or traded Lamb or Micah to get draft compensation.

I don’t understand the lack of nuance in your arguments. The problem isn’t Dak Prescott per se. The problem is Dak Prescott at the salary he thinks he’s worth. That is the issue. @@robogreek3157 This is right. When the stakes get raised and the pressure goes up, Dak starts to make mistakes. He has been the beneficiary of a really weak NFC East division. If he had been playing in the NFC West, he would be long gone. Dak fans like to point to the one Tampa Bay playoff game where he played well, but he started out poorly in that game too. It was only after it became clear that the Bucs weren't ready to play that he relaxed and started to make throws. Dak seems like a good guy and he's not _bad_ but he's not good enough to be paid like a top five QB. Better that Dallas lets him go and gets worse for a while than accepting more of the same with no hope of real playoff success.
Listen, some really great QBs couldn't get it done. Marino. Moon. Tarkenton. Kelly. Picksixscott is another face in the crowd.
