@@jjparks9263 backloading contracts is the norm for every single big QB contract, they do it so that you can have a better shot at winning earlier in the deal and then restructure if you have success. The cowboys haven’t made it past the divisional rd during his current contract so why commit long term to mediocrity until he proves he can atleast make a NFCCG let alone win a superbowl

@@dr3dnaut38 does fix the cap issue. Pay the QB early on and with a long prorated deal to avoid playing pay the QB 18-24% of the cap consistently Ala how Aaron Rodgers does. Theoretically they could have paid day 25-28 mil annually for 7-10 years when he was making peanuts before his 4 year deal was finished. And currently be paying him 28-30 mil instead of nearly 45 mil with a 60 mil cap hit

Somebody said Cowboys must be paying Booger and I agree. It usually doesn't work out for some teams that over pay at the beginning of FA is because they are usually bad teams and that said player is not enough to make them much better because they need a lot more. Eagles paid big money for AJ the year before and then went to a SB. The Cowboys fans "analysts" are forever making excuse for the dumb decisions they make. You mean to tell a team like the Cowboys who went 12-5 in the past fews years, they would be better if they got an impact player in FA that fills a need they have like RB or WR2.

What makes the most sense is to trade Dak before or during the draft this year, assuming he'll waive his no trade clause for the right new team and payday, Minnesota? Dak isn't an ascending player and with a diminished roster, the Cowboys can't reasonably expect better results than last year. Give Trey Lance the reigns for the 2024 and pick up his 5th year option for 2025. If he shows he's not an upgrade draft a Qb in 2026.

It's competitive NFC Championship appearance or bust for Dak.. He's had more than enough time. Elite QBs perform in the playoffs, not just in the regular season. Cowboys organization needs a culture and mentality upgrade

Cowboys had the easiest schedule in 2023. Majority of their wins came against broken down tesms. Even that win vs the Eagles was a blunder. The Eagles were broken down during that time.
Booger is being startlingly stupid here. They're not going to get the things that he thinks they need to get. They have made the team unambiguously worse by losing people. Everyone else's players are going to get better, too. Jerry's wrong, Booger's plain old out of touch with reality. Seems like all he does is look at what any organization does and agree with it. They could replace him with statements from the teams' PR departments.
Tannenbaum was an objectively horrible GM who never seems to get anything right as an analyst. When you're keeping who you have, you don't call that "all in."' To contend otherwise is just stupid.

Dak is not the guy. He’s good in the regular season but trash in the playoffs. 2024 Saquon is far from the monster he was coming out of Penn State. And Phillys big problem is defense and he plays a non impactful position
No!!! Dak has been paid to be a failure in the post season, and it was because of him esp the last 2 seasons. Dakota Rayne needs to be shown the door and tell him good luck. he will not get the other money cos he has the prestige of being a cowboy, he will get Kirk money but the other off field money is gonna dry up, cos he isnt charaticmastic and relatable even like Kirk.

CJ Stroud is the best QB in Texas and he’s a rookie.
