"Cares about winning" .. This is the same Jerry Jones who fired Superbowl Winning Coach Jimmy Johnson after 5 years... and kept Mr. .500 .. Mr. 8-8 Jason Garrett for 9 years. Jones kept the Non/Winner/Mediocre guy. Jones has also kept the ineffective GM of the Cowboys who has returned no NFC Championships in 30 years- That is not caring about winning.

The way wealthy people keep score is how much wealth they can amass. When the "win" they are more prosperous. It's not that they don't care about whether or not the Dallas Cowboys win the Superbowl. Sure they do. But they want to make money more.

I thought I was mad last year when they took injured and old/Schoonmaker at 2 .. Then drafted Deuce Vaughn and didn't get any Off Line til Draft round 467- A big/weak guy who could only manage 1 bench press.. If they draft Jaylon Brooks this year- I'll say you're right.

I’m certainly not going to purchase anymore merchandise nor spending my hard earned money to attend one of their games this year especially coming from the 808 state!!! Jones’s don’t give a SHIT about the Fan Base!!! Just my opinion.
I quit buying Cowboys souvenirs and apparel several years ago. Until the Cowboys appear in the NFC Championship game I will not buy anything from the Cowboys. I can't stand all the piss poor excuses by the Jones and Cowboys fans who believe their crap is pitiful

@Primetimes21 Yes and I intend to read as many articles as possible on the Cowboys. I will follow them but they won't get my dollars. FYI, for years I have bought Rangers caps, shirts, etc and this past year they made it all worth it.

Well, after the glory 90's teams what has happened? They should have blown up the team before everyone got old, instead they went into cap hell. They hired Chan Gailey and missed out on Randy Moss; they stuck with Dave Campo for 3 seasons (!!!) went 5-11 in each and got nothing from their drafts, in fact they blew 2 first picks in Joey Galloway (!). Bill Parcells stabilized the team enough to get us into the Tony Romo era, and while drafting got much better, the coaching in the other end, did not: Wade Philips & Jason Garrett wasted the careers of good teams, and now we are approaching something like the end of the Romo Era, but with Dak. And in the meantime, it was the Shannahans, the Harbaughs, the Belichicks and the Andy Reids and their way of doing things that have dominated since.

A GM that actually cares about winning wouldn't let a Safety play Linebacker from week 5 on.
They'd watched Van Der Esch make so many tackles 7-13 yards downfield.. Instead of within 3 yds of the line of scrimage like a Linebacker should... they figured out a Safety could do the same thing.
Remember they are not playing. These players are being pacified. Once again. Nobody's being held accountable on the field. O well well blame the front office and the coaches. The team didnt show up to play. 2 yrs against the niners the qb didnt show up. Same routine. Blame mccarthy. The same qb who wants 60 million. Nobody cares about the yrs before that. We are talking about the past 8yrs.

You guys are stick radio. So how the heck is the team building incompetent? They spend money on players. They mainly spend money on their own. No one wins without taking care of their own players. They spends as much money as anyone else in the league. However the problem is Dak's contract. No team would spend all the money they have to lose. They have to work their way out of the Dak contract to build back the team. Tyron Smith unfortunately is more of a liability than a building block. Stop the stick radio. Every team goes through this every 5 years.
they don't spend as much as anyone else and that's been extensively documented. While true that nobody wins w/o taking care of their own, modern nfl teams also take advantage of the FA market and the Cowboys do bargain basement hunting exclusively.
Dak's contract isn't the problem you think it is. The way the Front Office drags their feet in making a decision is the problem. Either they want him or they don't and if they didn't they should have made deliberate moves to that effect.

I am not even going to listen to this podcast because like most Cowboy fans we don’t care anymore. Nobody believes what the Jones’s are saying anymore. They are overpaying a fair/weather QB that nobody is afraid of making a late game charge for a win. They get into huge contracts with splash/players with No improvement in the post season success... and don't learn their lesson.. They appear poised to repeat this mistake with Dak, CD, and Micah(who had 1 sack in the last 5 games last year). WTF are you talking about "draft success"? .. If you're not a deep/playoff team you didn't have draft success.
