Thank you for those opening words. Skz really doesn't deserve what is happening. I am staying away from Twitter for the most part because the hate and bullying is out of control. And awful to see. Thankfully there are many many of us norm people and many new fans because of this US debut song. Love that. Loved hearing those staff comments in this ep. It really shows how close they all are and of course they are! Its why it often upsets me to see the "treat skz better"...thats these same people that Skz loves so much. And they do not deserve that treatment. Same as Skz doesn't. Anyway, yes , that closeness and mutual respect is beautiful to see. Ah the eating. One of the many things I had to get used to when I got into kpop (and later k-drama). It IS a big part of their culture, as another comment explained. I think that with Idols there is another element to it: to show that they do eat and enjoy food and not starve themselves. But that is speculation. I know its a big part of Korean culture. I have seen it in different cultures as well. Bugs...eating bugs...not a fan, I take it? Hahhahhaa I are bugs...its actually like eating nuts. Crunchy and nutty. But I get that the thought grosses people out. Okay enough with the novel writing. Have a good day.
After watching many Kdramas I learned that eating is a very important part of their culture. Instead of asking a close one “How was your day?” They ask “Did you eat?”. Food seems to be a part of who they are. Food is important to us in the west too but we don’t talk about it. So, I don’t think it’s a fascination of western fans to watch them eat, it’s just them putting importance to food.
