More testing, more experiments, more fun!
So Glad you are measuring with 13.2-13.8 volts. That’s real power for most of us.
Excellent job of testing and putting out data and sharing your opinion objectively rather than subjectively.
If you get a chance, also pls suggest good amps for midrange and tweeters as well.
Thank you
I have this amp to power 2 IB 8 inches under my seats to complement my 18 IB in the back. Planning to run it from 50 to 130 htz or something when I install them in the next few weeks. Thank you so much for the helpful video!
I just literally clicked on every video on ur channel and gave it a like. Took me way longer then expected. You deserve it
Really appreciate that🙃

Which amp within this price range would you recommend to play highs ? Please let me know
Would you recommend genius audio amps ?
@@justpeaceful6899 for this price I would recommend getting something old school, like Alpine, JL, Phoenix Gold. You would need to pay thousands to get same quality today.
@@RAW-CAt
Ok. Thanks a lot

I've been checking all along for alpine but not able to find one to push like 6 8"
I wish they made an amp for highs and mids. That would perform clean
Wouldn’t it run at higher ohms than 4 when running door speakers on music? I wonder what it looks like at 6 and 8 ohms. Might not be that bad for highs and mids.
Daily viewer I like every video b4 I watch. Want to be on a show my tune just haven't taken the measurements yet.
Quando tiver a oportunidade de testar nosso produto, seremos grato, Powerus Amplificadores desde o Brasil. Abraço.
It would be indeed very Interesting. If you would like to offer some product for testing you can contact me at rawcaraudiotuning@gmail.com
i have installed midbass amp in my car but i have wierd noises that responds and changing when pushing gas/breaks respectively , what can be the issue ?
Most of the time it's the ground between the source and the amplification. Run power and ground from the UK back to the amps.
You are comparing Alpine to others. Name brand is always different for reasons. Look at Alpine amps their class d amps have low THD regardless of power and regardless of ohm load. I have a DSP but still run components at a full signal. It’s nice to know that if I wanna bridge my Alpine at two homes, I’m going to reach the same amount of low distortion. Although I do like a warmer sound and a lot of bass sometimes. I want my highs and mids to be pure SQ, nothing muddy and nothing harsh. It’s just your preference in the long run. When I was younger and Car audio in the 90s, you simply just got which you could afford but I remember my friend running two kicker eights in a sealed box and I thought it sounded better than his 215s when he upgraded, it’s just personal preference. The bad thing is it’s spending money over and over to finally find what you’re looking for. People used to always say if you don’t like the way it sounds just build another box. Well, the prices of wood are not where they used to be, and when you’re a grown man with three kids, your time and money is very limited. I’ve noticed that a very good solid mid base with a warmer sound is what I prefer over anything. But I also run three Infiniti 10 inch 1000 subwoofers in a sealed box 310s in a sealed box gives me the same output as two in a ported box but two subs in a ported box in a trunk. Sounds like shit to me. It’s all back to personal preference I can’t stand the inside of my car rattling anywhere and I can’t stand the outside of my car rattling anywhereand I never drive with the windows down so all my acoustical measurements are done for windows up 100% of the time
I run infinity components in the front and back. On an Alpine Amp. Three 10” Infinity subs off a Kicker Amp all threw an Alpine DSP. I never run my highs and mids lower than 4 ohm for a cleaner sound.
Hope you can test the distortion on monoblock jp amplifiers.
Unfortunately JP are not available in the UK. Maybe someone from the UK will test some.
How do I use REW for amp testing ? Do you just run it through a specific set of speakers and just swap amps or is there some kind of adapter speaker outs to usb ?
I have two videos about amplifier testing that go through every single detail.
What is the recommended power range for Midbass in an SQ setup, or, what have you seen or clamped?
I made a test, It was ~10W on normal levels.
Can i plug 10 speakers on this? 6 6.5 2 6x9 and 2 tweeters
Sure you can, if wired correctly👍
Thanks for the incredibly helpful content here and in the FB group! I understand you do not recommend this for mids/tweets - but would this be cleaner than a typical head unit power for mids and tweets, or basically just to be avoided completely? What about potentially running this for midbass and a single sub, and a separate 4 channel for the mids/tweets?
Yes and yes to both of your questions😉
So what’s a good amp for kids and tweets?
Didn't find one yet. The best I have is Alpine MRV-F405
Dumb question: despite the amps’ harmonic inclination, does having a DSP help eliminate/limit/smooth out any of the effects you described? I’m just curious from an engineering perspective, what amp would serve well for midranges and tweeters which do NOT exhibit these outputs? Given that the tweeters are so limited in power, and midranges (2-3”) as well, how much of the harmonic “disturbances” can make their way to them/are audible?
Crazy how this amp isn't really good for mids and tweeters.
@@Ninoo187 The question stands: is it audible noise or just “signal” noise and if just signal noise, does it make the sound crappy? And if it sounds crappy, does it clip?
All the THD in the signal path ad up, so you can't "clean up" the signal. The more things you have in the chain, the worse the signal will be. For mids and tweets you don't need a lot of power, but the amp has to.be very clean, with minimum harmonics at 1-5kHz range.
@@RAW-CAt ok so how does it manifest? Bad sound? Clipping? I haven’t noticed any of it in my DI1200.4s.
@@TheGodofSEOharsh sounding when you push the amp to it's limits.
Whats a cleaner budget 4 channel in this same power range? I need around 400x2 if bridged. Thank you! Ive already purchased this amp to bridge on my door speakers. Midbass/midrange drivers unfortunately. I play them up to 4k ☹️
Doubt you will find anything cleaner for this price point.
@@RAW-CAt I'm sorry I meant the same power ratings more or less. Any other budget amps you've tested that did remarkably well?
@@850CANE nope.
@@RAW-CAt cheap ain't good and good ain't cheap! Thanks for all you do and all the great content! I'm about to embark on the journey to learn REW for the first time ever. Your videos are going to be so helpful I'm really appreciative
Hey a quick question here what is the highest you can crossover a 6.5in or 8in midbass inverted in the kicks anyone who knows can answer i have seen a you tube video with a inverted 10in in front of both seats with midrange in the corners of the dash hope someone can help me out
This video will give you the answer, it's around 600Hz for a 6.5.

Plz make a video phase correction with umik 1 without sound card suggest any trick plz
There is none.
@@RAW-CAt any software? For phase correction
@@surajbhan6549the issue is clock drift and no loop back. A USB mic has a built in sound card. The card in the mic and the motherboard in the computer have different time signatures. That is why loop back is required, to sync the timing.
I have so many questions. How do we connect on Skype? I need to figure this out so I know what I’m looking at.
