- Gibson was onsite at Eric Clapton's 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, Texas this past week and partnered up with our friends at Guitar Center to sit down and interview several of the artists performing throughout the weekend.
Mark Agnesi caught up with Marcus King to hear more about his upcoming Gibson Signature Guitar and what it's like to be asked to play an iconic event such as Crossroads.

I have always enjoyed Mark. Such a wealth of knowledge and a pretty good player with an edge to him. Never understood the mark hate. But now that he has moved to Nashville, hope to run into him at a guitar store somewhere
@Chad Story. I have to say I think most of the Mark hate comes from the fact that he has had jobs people who watch these channels only dream of. So people don't know how to express their jealousy so they just hate lol
Aaron Perrotta speaking only for myself , the reason I soured on Mark was that he came off like a bully. I don’t hate him but I don’t dig bullies.in fact I’ve gone out of my way several times to thwart a bully. Not on you tube but in real life. It’s gratifying. His tone sucked. Aloha

I got KISS Alive as a kid and on the back of the album it said "KISS uses Gibson guitars and Pearl drums because they want the best!" Reading that and seeing Ace Frehley holding that Les Paul, that was it for me! I've been team Gibson ever since!

Love of family, love of music. This with an instrument chosen with care.....man this world needs a hell of a lot more of that. That's spiritual stuff how the music is so moving. When ya see the new baby's first reaction to a one on one music experience you'll know it's true and it don't want your money.
Super good interview. Mark always knows what to ask. He is also getting good info on these artists and their favorite Gibson guitars. Getting to hang backstage at Crossroads is a tough gig. 😆 I wish both of these guys all the best!

Noel Gallagher put Triny Lopez back on spot in 2002 and Gibson made the Dave Grohl signature, Noel Gallagher have been using ES 345 and ES 355 but never got any signature model neather just the comming J 150

It's easy to do. The video they refer to in the video hooked me awhile back and was fortunate to watch a great friend open for MKB earlier this year and MKB is even better live. Insane to think that we're just catching a glimpse of what is to come for him at such an early age.

Mark taking credit for launching Marcus' career. Talent had nothing to do with it. It was all Norm's and Mark.
Now it's starting to make sense.. Mark too old for "cover band" so he cons Norm then moves on to the corporate world, next step is performing at the local nursing home. Lastly living in the same nursing home and reminiscing about the "good old days" . Gone & forgotten, hopefully you can get a good price from Norm for the guitars acquired...
