M18 recoilless rifle could be added, but its performance would have only been comparable to the M1 Bazooka. Ideally, USA would get an M9 or M9A1 firing T59 rockets (~178mm pen) or either T24 or T74 (super bazooka) firing T80 rockets (~229mm pen).
True that would have been so cool to use and verse, but ugh... they just need to recycle their weapons. It's one of the only things that I really really hate about this update, the "Captured" Panzerschreck along with the american T-24 which just wasn't needed. Really stupid additions that just annoy me.
So happy they're finally adding the Chi-Ri II, now they just need to add the Ho-Ro. Still want to see the Soviet Invasion of Manchuria to be added so we can get the Russians vs Japanese. As a huge WWII History Buff, I do know the americans did capture some German weapons and artillery pieces but I don't believe they used the RPzB.43 Obenrohr against German tanks
@niallcool7873 "unparalleled realism" 😂 I seriously doubt darkflow ever advertised it as such, if you want a hardcore sim play arma hell let loose or steel beasts. Truth is Japan needed something to compete and it's not even like a op vehicle, it will still get one shotted. But anything Japan players can get should be added.
Some facts about the upcoming weapons. The T24 reverse engineered MG-42. This was developed in 1943 and 1944 and as far as I know, only 1 single example existed and it didn't work very well. It suffered more than 50 malfunctions after firing just 1500 rounds and further testing and development was dropped soon after. M1944 Hyde Carbine, existed in a very small number of prototypes only. It shares a mix of design features from the Thompson sub machine gun and the MG-42. Not very much is known about this gun and no examples of it exists today, only a handful of photos. MG-42 100 round belt. German ammo belts came in 50 round segments and they could be linked together. 100 rounds is an odd number though as German ammo belts generally only came in 50 round drums and 250 round boxes. Still, it would be plausible to take the belts from two drums and link them together to make a 100 round belt. The US army Panzerschrek. No evidence exists that this was ever issued to American troops, despite large numbers captured. Japanese HO-RI Prototype. Calling this vehicle a prototype is a joke because not a single version of this vehicle was ever built and it only ever existed in drawings. M26 Pershing T99 rocket artillery. Post War development of the M26, testing of this vehicle started in December of 1945. We now officially have post-war vehicles in Enlisted and this will be used to justify adding the IS-3 and Centurion.
don't want to be the main German player again but it's necessary... the premium team with the mg is fine, but giving them the ofenrhof is annoying. The USSR already had the pz100 on their side because otherwise they didn't have any competent rocket launchers, now not even this one. This weapon was the only anti-tank weapon not yet captured and in use by Germany.. I still remember the Normandy campaign where the allies had the piat and we had the fucking kampf pistolen... If we put it this way: where is my captured kv1-sherman75 etc?? Peace all.
Bro I’m from Myanmar(Burma). The pagoda from the map looks like pagodas from Bagan in Myanmar which was built way earlier than those of in Thailand. Meaning that we’re the original. And the sad thing is war from those era 1940s still happening till today.
The m18 recoilless rifle would not at all be what america really needs in terms of an at weapon, with only 90mm of penetration with its HEAT warheads it wouldn’t even tickle high BR german tanks. Now if we got an m18 with HE shells as an event weapon similar to the Luftfaust to function as an anti infantry launcher that would be super cool since its HE warheads were very effective and it would be fairly balanced as an event weapon since you’d only have one or two and thus couldn’t spam it.
i would have much rather have the M18 Recoilless Rifle or even the M20 Super Bazooka. I believe they might come in a future update but still would have preferred that
The M18 recoilless rifle's HEAT only penned 76.2mm of armor, less than the bazooka. Not really an upgrade for the in game bazooka. Now the M20 super bazooka would be a better upgrade for the USA, without using German stuff.
Seriously, an update focusing on Burma and the japanese get 3 new things, none of which fix the massive issues that tech tree has, and the allies get nothing from the commonwealth forces?
So now the USA has a copy of the German MG42 and the German anti tank rocket, meanwhile the soviets have the panzerfaust on their tech tree. If you want the German weapons because they are better why dont you just play Germany?
Like I said in discord, I was really excited for the Chinese but it turned out it’s really far from being realistic since the unit itself doesn’t wear like that and the firearms wasn’t use by the unit or even entire Chinese forces fought in Burma, I just wish they could fix that once it’s out, I know it’s video game and enlisted don’t really care about historical accuracy, but it’s just too unrealistic
Shit, now my panther is completely and utterly USELESS!!! I just unlocked it after a year of gameplay and it will be useless after suffering though the grind. finally, japan can get another campaign
2:40 it's 7.92x57 or 8mm mauser. Not 7.92x53.
Also, the 1944 hyde is an assault rifle. It's shooting an intermediate cartridge, the .30 carbine.
