Mountain Maid is my favorite Army brand pancake. Basic Training was nine years ago and I still remember those pancakes. However, I still love my grandpa’s recipe.
You can add baking powder buttermilk eggs melted butter to the store-bought. It’s on the Bisquick box. Personally I make mine homemade from scratch with buttermilk and I don’t even use self rising flour I use regular flour and add my ingredients
I always enjoy both types of pancakes 🥞 myself love 💕 pancakes so much my favorite breakfast 🍳 food to eat with scrambled eggs 🥚 and sausage links so yummy 😋 and delicious happy new year to you as well
I've never made Pancakes on my Blackstone, I've had an Electric Griddle for 20+ years that I use. Most of the time I'll use a Box mix, just because I DON'T have any use for Self Rising Flour, so then I have to add Baking Powder and Soda as well as the Egg, Milk and Butter. The Old Aunt Jemima ( Now called Pearl Mining or something) Buttermilk is my go too, HOWEVER I add a splash of Vanilla AND another Table Spoon of Baking Powder to 2 Cups of the mix, super light and fluffy Pancakes. I have a buddy who's whole Family works at their little restaurant, they've been around since the 70's, He uses a packaged mix, adds water and WHISKS the heck out of the batter until it's smooth and pours out pancakes as big as a Dinner plate, light and fluffy, I think some of these "old Cook's tales" are just myths. 😄
We use the fast shake bottle. We don't make a lot of pancakes here, so we just add a little water and shake the snot out of it and pour on the griddle. Butter (heaps and heaps of butter) makes everything healthier. Gotta get that dairy in your diet. Lol.
I don't make them often, so i stopped keeping mixes. When i did I used Bisquik. Now when i make pancakes i make sour dough pancakes, since I always have a starter in the fridge.
I use both. When time permits, I do homemade. If not Krusteaz is my go to box. Thanks Hussey for another great video

I’ve played with my homemade recipe so I can keep a container of dry mix. One cup of mix, add an egg some milk & butter & start cooking 🥞
Thank you

Cannot beat that breakfast at all!
I use big blue bag from Costco. But I add. Buttermilk vs water….. a little bit of a lump doesn’t make you a chump…. Good groceries.
I believe that Krustez makes that for Costco. It's good mix.
Same as you! Same brand of mix and syrup!
My wife got me a Blackstone 28 three burner for Christmas
You Will Love I Have A 28 Inch
You're going to LOVE it! Welcome to the family!

Cannot go wrong with the old Aunt Jemima brand. That's what we used growing up.
Hussey, if you cooked it, I'd eat it !!
Homemade buttermilk every time. Dropped in blueberries if they're in season.
Nice!

Nice tip about having it ready to go in the fridge.
I always use Krusteaz. They turn out well, and I don't have to gather ingredients to make homemade. My wife has made homemade but she used Buttermilk.
It's always good!
Homemade if I have an option
Bisquick is my preference. Instead of topping them with butter I use peanut butter then syrup
I like thin buttermilk pancakes...
Yeah, you know I didn't think about the thin pancake side!
The pancakes are pretty close as you mention.
There is NO SUBSTITUTE for pure Canadian Maple Syrup! - Cheers!
Happy New Year Matt!
Good morning all! Great topic, glad to see this. We do both in our house depending on time.
Yeah, it's great to see.
Homemade with pecans and chocolate chips is the winner at our house.
That sounds great!
Should have used buttermilk in the homemade, it would’ve made them thicker. Better reaction with the self-rising flour.
Only reason I didn't was the bagged used milk and not buttermilk.
Personally, I like Pearl Milling company original pancake mix. Formally, the original Aunt Jemima. But I will try the homemade ingredients.
Bisquick shake n pour...
Which version does Jacob and your daughter like the most ? 🤗
We like Krustez brand!
A pancake is a pancake...just eat one
I hear that!
Krusteaz brand, my family really doesn't have the time to do homemade
Agree. Way easier too!
I hate pancakes
I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan. Every once in a while I like them.
