Played one these(THRC) at guitar center yesterday. Impressive little amp, and how its very warm and breaks up like a real tube amp. I am getting this THR10X though because I want more gain/drive and harder rock 70's-80's style. 'WOW though"! again... impressed with the warm full bodied tone and feel..!!
just bought this little monster;well worth the money.I gig at clubs it worked great at the last show.wish it had pedal board but I used mine worked fine.
i love how you can hear the dynamics and harmonics of hitting strings hard. this amp def has its own sound. cant say it sounds like its tube brothers though but still very impressive
I got the 100hd. It's great. Double Marshall sounds going at once. It's great. All kind of options but not so many that ur tweaking all day. It's great. Footswitch included with boosts screamers etc
i was thinking of buying a combo tube amp,to stick some external pedals to,but when i saw this,i think ill change my minde,im doing a research about it,and im about to buy one
Do these have that "fizz" i am hearing or is it just the recording reproduction of it on YT? I wanted to get one but am worried about this fizz issue i am hearing in the higher gain levels on the youtube vids of this amp
Not the kind i was referring to. I like a smooth OD and does not have that razor sharp fizz to it. Mostly i hear it in modelers and the roland cube has it
charvelstrat81 That sound you are refering to as a Fizz is actually why people love PAF style pickups, they retain a lot of HIGH END and stay not muddy even at high gain, you won't have that fizzy sound if you have a stronger pickup something like a Screaming Demon, or the JB
how have you recorded this. it sounds great. but i have heard many demos when sounds directly from speaker sound really bad. and sounds when miced up sound great. can you tell me how it would sound if played and you hear directly from the speaker.
You can connect it to PC with usb and record in any programm, since THRs have sound card inside. Demos with bad sound? Then they recorded it with bad mic. Just go to your nearest guitar shop where they have it and ask consultant to play in it. You will be surprised )
Hi a changed from a 10C to a 10X, it has nicer clean and drives more. What kind of setup on the 10X have you used in your video? I'm looking for santana Garry Moore AC/DC Zeppelin kind of sound, can i reach that with the 10X? Thank you
I'm guessing you've already figured out your answer, but the THR10X is a high gain amp. If you're looking for an AC/DC Gary Moore kinda thing you'd probably want a lower gain amp.
You bet, and then some. To be fair they sound like a correctly mastered guitar track, as in they lack a certain rawness you'd get from using a fully blown guitar amp. But sound-wise, they are killer little units. Worth every penny, even if they might seem expensive.

probably a Santana setting in the editor through USB to PC
They have pretty much the same clean tones. 10c might even be a bit nicer
Gary Moore used Soldano SLO amps....VERY high gain.
