Wow. I will watch this over and over again. So much to digest. The surroundings, the pictures on the wall, the books, the light and the conversation. I am one of a few who has never watched Fight Club. I wanted to be there with you both sitting in the corner just absorbing everything you were talking about. What a great way to wake up this morning. Thank you both so much❤

Fantastic interview. Always appreciated Palahniuk's perspective and his approach to writing. Recently, tried my hand at writing my first manuscript and his writing advice book Consider This is phenomenal. Appreciate both these guys for their output. The world is a better place for it.

I'm just starting the video, but am so excited! Chuck Palahniuk is such a great writer and a huge influence on my life. I still might have the signed inflatable dolphin/whale I got from him while attending his book tour for "Pygmy," which I now realize was nearly 16 years ago (!!!).

I saw him live during the Damned tour. Got something inflatable, don't remember specifically what it was, but also had a friend wait in line in Portland to get a copy of Doomed signed to me and when she jokingly asked for some of his DNA to get back to me he spit on the title page, right under his signature and brief personal message. Lol Really meaningful and heartfelt connection he has with his fans and readers.

Great talk here. Regarding smart, happy people makes me think of the Hemingway quote: "Happiness among intelligent people is the rarest thing I know."

Engaging, we aging, outside the realm, thanks for your helm.
    Our 299! Legacy crew soldier.
Your recent drive-about follow farming brought me back into the fold.
Loved your CBC stuff then and this now. ⚡️✌️

Optimism, pessimism, dopamine, writing at airports... Writers are inspiring beasts! 'Grotesque' is my new favorite word in English.

This is a really great conversation. I haven't caught up with Chuck's last few books, did he ever finish the Damned & Doomed Trilogy? Gotta re-read those again. I couldn't really get into Adjustment Day but Make Something Up & Beautiful You were incredible I thought.

PS. One thing you and I have in common with Sherlock Holmes is the level of curiosity :)
